Hi, I'm Susan Jabinski, co-host of the Morning Filter podcast. In a recent episode, Morningstar's Chief US Market Strategist Dave Sekera shared his top five high conviction stocks from Morningstar's new quarterly analyst picks list. Dave's picks were Microsoft, Charles Schwab, Broadcom, Clorox, and Devon Energy. Today, we're focusing on three new ideas from the analyst's third quarter picks list. All three of these stocks were just added to the list and look like undervalued stocks to buy today. Our first new analyst pick to buy for the third quarter is Antero Resources. Antero's long-haul transport contracts give it priority access to LNG export pricing, and we expect it to benefit from soaring overseas demand for US natural gas. Meanwhile, its hedge book offsets near-term price volatility. In the coming years, we expect Antero to further augment its gas position by renegotiating its committed long-haul transportation agreements signed over a decade ago. We think the stock is worth $42 per share. The next new analyst pick for the third quarter is Lennar. Lennar is the second-largest homebuilder in the US. The stock is well off its 2024 highs as the interest rate outlook changed and the market became skeptical of Lennar's long-term margin profile following its transition to a land-light strategy. While Lennar's margin may underperform in the near its operating model and enhanced scale will allow it to close the gap with peers in the long run. We think Lennar is worth $124 per share. The final new analyst pick to buy is Nvidia. We expect strong growth for Nvidia's AI GPU-based systems in both 2026 and 2027. We think the strength of the firm's software ecosystem, chip design expertise, networking and interconnectivity capability, and the flexibility and programmability offered by all this gear will keep Nvidia at the center of the AI ecosystem. All the while, we expect Nvidia to retain healthy pricing power and maintain 70% plus gross margins. We think Nvidia stock is worth $280.
