Happy Thursday. What's going on guys? It's Ricky here with a quick market update. Let me go ahead and start sharing my screen. Up a little bit over $5,000 on the day. Every trade we took today was caught in today's live trading session with the LPP team. If you're part of my LPP team, please go back and rewatch today's live. If you're not, and you want to watch today's live session, just message me on Instagram. It's third link in the description down below. And I'll send it on over to you. Great live session at That's kind of what I wanted to start off by saying. Um I feel like I really focused on the mistakes that I made yesterday, that I pretty much spent all day. How many of you guys have started the morning off with like, you know, just a series of bad trades? I was $3,000 in the hole, and then had to spend all day to recover from it. I ended up at $3,000 in the green, but guess what? I spent all day doing it, right? It It felt exhausting. Today, within the first hour, I was up over $4,000. I focused on my position size. I focused on confirmation, and I focused on not being greedy and taking profits at any indication of resistance. So, uh especially when there's a lot of uncertainty injecting itself in the market, when in doubt, never be afraid to cash out. So, yes, the Nasdaq market is down 1% on the day. Um is there a break of pattern? No. And that's the biggest thing that I want to talk about. Nasdaq market is still consolidating within its range of support at 700 and resistance right around 740. Until that support is actually broken, I don't really think that there's a true reason on why to panic, right? Markets are still holding up, um and that's really just it, right? Uh when it comes down to news, $400 billion has been wiped from the US market, um and this is after Iran threatened to close the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Whatever, right? Tensions in the Middle East escalating. Why are semiconductors getting beat even harder? Well, again, there's some unfortunate news. It's the same thing that's going in the South Korean market. South Korean Central Bank raises interest rates for the first time in over 3 years. They're raising interest rates, right? South Korean KOSPI index falls another 7%. Again, there's been so much volatility within the South Korean market. A lot of that has to do with the influence that it has in the semiconductor or memory chip space. That being down 7% right as that was announced, markets began to fall, especially the semiconductors and the memory chip stocks in the US markets. Supposedly, Koreans are committing suicide to the KOSPI correction leverage overexposure and way too much expectation. So, they supposedly have launched a debt counseling hotline that expands the scale of support centers. Um very unfortunate news, right? Fed today officially released the jobless claim reports, right? That's every every single Thursday, 1 hour before the markets open. Expectation was 216,000, actual 208,000. Again, better than what was expected, but a lot of this is being clouded by, obviously, uh the news in the Middle East and the news in South Korea. Um on top of that, Micron has now sold off 30% from its all-time highs. So, definitely something to pay close attention to. Do you think that the sell-off will continue? It seems like we're seeing a lot of rotating out of maybe some of these memory chip and semiconductors and more into the Mac 7. Microsoft, Meta have been doing very well, not necessarily today, but just in recent weeks. Meta is up like 25, 30%. Micron is down 25, 30%. On top of that, UNH reported earnings today. They absolutely killed it. They initially gapped up about 8 and 1/2%. Since then, they've given back some of what they've gained. Let me pull it up here. It's still up 5%. The reason we're talking about UNH is remember we talked about UNH after it crashed and it sold off to lows of three to 200. We bought the dip, we invested in it long term, and now it's nearly doubled. Um amazing ROI for a very unsexy business. There's a lot of negative sentiment after the CEO killer uh in New York. Um there's an investigation that was opened up about potential Medicare fraud, something like that. Um obviously, it was just kind of like a fishing scene where they were just trying to fish for anything to try to go against this company. Again, if you've ever looked into UNH, if you haven't, let me pull it up for you. UNH, a very, very strong company. I think you'd be surprised to find out that even after that huge recovery, there's still 10% upside based off of fair value analysts. It's still at a fair P/E ratio, 33 times earnings. It's a company that produces $449 billion in revenue and a net income of $12 billion. And this has recently gone down uh and still performing exceptionally well. So, uh again, a little bit more on the overbought side now, but definitely still performing well. Another company that reported earnings today was TSM. TSM reported better than expected earnings, but unfortunately, due to what's going on right now in the South Korean market and the tensions in the Middle East, it's still down. Uh at one point, it was down 4 to 5%. Right now, it's only down 2% and it looks like some of these semiconductors are still a little weak. So, we'll see if they begin to pick up. Again, the big thing is don't overleverage yourself, right? If markets are down and you want to buy the dip, there's nothing wrong with buying the dip. Just make sure that you can tolerate the time that it might take for markets to recover. Don't use leverage, especially with some of these, you know, high-performing stocks. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be invested, but the last thing that you want to do is over leverage yourself thinking that they have to recover, but right now market sentiment for these semiconductors or memory chip stocks are somewhat weak. I do expect them to recover, but you can never predict the future. So, when in doubt, never be afraid to cash out and please don't use leverage. Uh if you have if you guys have any questions, feel free to comment down below and don't forget if you want to watch today's live trading session with my LPP team, just message me via Instagram to rewatch today's live.
