Some good news for the markets this morning. What's going on, guys? It's Ricky with TechBud Solutions. Let's go ahead and quickly talk about it. Here is your market update. Pakistan and Iran held talks in Tehran to reopening the Strait of Hormuz. Iran wants the US to return to the Islamabad agreement. Iran wants clause five implemented, which calls for bilateral understanding between Iran and Oman on managing the Strait, and Pakistan is expected to relay these conditions to Washington. It's an update. It's the whole deal no deal fiasco. Markets are celebrating the idea that there's a conversation happening again. Again, it's like it's so pathetic, but it is what it is. At least markets were initially, and then now they're beginning to sell off as things continue to escalate. Um the good news is, again, oil. Oil has been one of the biggest contributors to the rising rate of inflation, and because oil prices are now dropping, hopefully that can help inflation come back down. But again, with this whole back and forth of deal no deal, I don't see it to be very likely for it to, you know, hold at these levels if they continue to threaten to attack one another. There is some bad news, right? We learned a little bit more about the new China threat and increasing an additional 7 and 1/2% when it comes down to the tariffs for China. And now Canada has responded to the tariffs that are currently being put on them. Canada's saying that 50% tariffs on steel up from 25% and 700 products will see 15, 25, and 50% tariffs effective September 8th. Looks like we have started a new tariff war with Canada. I don't know what to say. It's just It's full circle. Um it's very unfortunate that we're right back here and it's just it's pathetic. Nonetheless, this is where the markets are currently at as of right now. Uh we talked about it in today's live session. If you feel like markets are kind of choppy, lacking direction, then the best thing that you can do is stay cash when it comes down to the series of trades that you want to take. Remember, it's so much easier. Think about it. The days that either the trend is in your favor if you're thinking about going long or going short, it's so much easier when the trend is in your favor, when there's a consistent sense of direction. I wouldn't say that's the case right now. We gapped up overnight and then we pulled on back shortly after markets open and then now we're just consolidating. Again, I would be very, very careful going in too aggressive during uncertain times. I do have a small open position right now on Micron. Um and again, it's just teeter-tottering around pretty much break even. So, I'm up about 3-400 dollars, but that means nothing because my position um if it ends up recovering, then the short will pretty much go break even. So, again, I'm I'm open to the idea of taking advantage of some opportunities if I see there to be some downside, but I don't want to force it, at least when it comes down to this. I do also want to talk about DKS, Dick's Sporting Goods. Um reported earnings today and it is down 27.64%. I want to pull it up right here. Jumping into Investing Pro, again, if you guys ever want to use this software, it's going to be linked in the description down below where you can get it for less than $9 a month for the current August sale. With that being said, Dick's Sporting Goods, again, based off of fair value analysts says that there's 27% upside. It's trading at a 17 X P ratio, which is not super expensive, not super cheap for retail, but not super expensive, but there's a reason behind it. It missed earnings today, August 25th, 2026. Missed earnings per share by 6.6% and it missed overall revenue. Again, something to take into consideration. There is a slowdown and this is exactly what Dick's is sharing. The uh Dick's Sporting Goods cuts forecast as weaker demand or sneaker demand trips Foot Locker shares plunge. Again, a lot of investors have not liked it Dick's Sporting Goods leading up to its Foot Locker, you know, investment. With that being said, if you zoom out and look at the larger time frame, it is incredibly oversold. But again, is this the beginning of the end? Just a few weeks ago, right? It was trading at highs of 230 per share. Now it's trading at 130 per share, $100 cheaper. I'm just talking about it. It's up to you to decide if do you want to buy the dip or do you want to just stay away or possibly even short it, right? Because you think it's actually going to get worse. I always like talking about different stocks that are actively moving, and this is definitely one of the active movers today. Uh so again, the software that we talked about here is InvestingPro, which should be linked in the description down below. So, this is the pro research. And again, if you want to pay attention or look into the LTM financial models, it also provides that for you as well. Um other than that again I'm I'm just man I'm let's just keep it simple. Markets are very choppy right now and leading up to Nvidia because Nvidia is supposed to report earnings tomorrow. I don't know if it's going to be in our best interest to try to take aggressive trades today that we later end up regretting tomorrow and so on and so forth, right? So, especially if you just want to focus more on quality trades, it's maybe not the worst idea to just set alerts and kind of move on with the rest of your day, right? Nasdaq market seems to be pretty choppy right now. The only thing that I do want to talk about is the big focus that I have right now is Bitcoin. Um I don't trade Bitcoin, but I do short MSTR. As long as Bitcoin remains bullish, there's no reason to short MSTR. But if MS if Bitcoin begins to sell off, there's decent downside, where if we look at current highs and previous lows for MSTR, that's 27% downside, right? The big thing that we need to remind ourselves is that we don't have to be early to this. Let this thing pump up as much as it needs to. Let it push up to 82, 85, it doesn't matter. We all know that eventually it's going to come crashing down. Bitcoin always crashes as again, there's just no value behind it. Especially when it comes down to a tradeable speculative asset. I wish there was value behind it. I wish those that were as passionate about Bitcoin were right about Bitcoin, right? Like I wish it would be implemented more than it's just talked about as a great investment or an alternative form of currency, when it's not used for anything other than in the black market. So, with that being said, I'm paying attention to it pretty closely, not because I care to trade Bitcoin, but because I want to make sure that I take action once and if Bitcoin begins to sell off, then I can take advantage of that MSTR short, but I need to wait for confirmation. There is no reason to enter that short early. And just so you can see, I carry no open position on MSTR. So, I welcome it with open arms once and if Bitcoin begins to sell off. If you're part of my LPP team, I'll do my part in keeping you guys up to date. And again, friendly reminder, whenever it is that you're ready to join us, it's going to end today. $400. It's $299 off. It's the sale that's currently going on. The second link in the description down below. And remember, it's a one-time payment for lifetime access. If you want to preview a recent live session before you end up joining, that's exactly what we show you here. But other than that, if you have any questions, feel free to either comment down below or send me a message via Instagram. I appreciate you guys' time like always. Let's make sure that we end the year on a green note. Take care, team, and happy Tuesday.
