Gamer BACKLASH is Affecting SONY BIG-TIME at Gamescom 2026 and They are WORRIED!

Oh, shoot. So, Sony Backlash has popped up at Gamescom 2026 and it is apparently affecting Sony. In other words, people are saying out loud, "No disc, no buy." So, I've got three things here. Okay, we're going to go with Pirate Nation first. Says Sony's move away from physical PlayStation games is reportedly facing strong backlash at Gamescom. [snorts] Attendees say the reaction matches PlayStation's social media with no disc no buy comments everywhere. The backlash is also affecting PlayStation's marketing [snorts] with Sony looking at changes to its communication and [music] planning. Some third party studios are also avoiding close association with PlayStation for now. That means they want nothing to do with Sony and don't want to be affiliated. They doing what happens in Hollywood when like one actor does something and it's it's it's horrible and then you know all of a sudden all the other actors and the entertainers that were following them unfollow them and all of a sudden erase pictures that they had with them. [snorts] That's what they're doing here. Remember when GTA 6, remember when Rockstar told Sony to take down the uh icon and stop using their graphics on the PlayStation Network, the PSN um app and on the uh when you boot up your um the homepage of the PS5, they told them to take that down too. You see that? So, what's going on is working. Okay, your boycott is working. All right, your backlash is working. What you've had to say is working. Okay, letting yourselves be, you know, heard is working. Now over here on Rhino says uh report Sony's plan to end physical game media has reportedly generated enough tension according to in Weedle after his Gamescom experience backlash and impact on the marketing strategies on their marketing strategies and forcing them to change how they communicate. Third-party developers are preferring not to be associated with Sony at the moment. This is quite likely due to every PlayStation bargaining material is being full of comments calling for no disc no buy. Keep up the pressure and don't give up. Speak out against ending physical media. Vote with your voices and your wallets and join the PlayStation Blackout. We don't hate gaming. We love gaming very much that we refuse to let corporate greed to further ruin it for us. A digital only future is not evolution. Evolution. It's only going backwards because it means no ownership, no competition or options for prices, no secondhand market and trading. Always being tied to an account, losing games if an account is lost, region locking. 64% of the world who have no dedicated PlayStation store will lose access to games. No disk, no buy. They tell me that the public reactions, despite what Sony wants to make it seem, have indeed sparked controversial internal reactions. That means the higherups and everybody inside of Sony is talking like what are we going to do on marketing level? It's having an impact and they're going to make changes in communication and playing. Yeah. Because they communicated with their investors, but they didn't communicate with us, the people, the gamers that helped make them who they are. Plus, some third party studios are temporarily choosing not to tie themselves to PlayStation. And I am so, you know, I have such a bad taste in my mouth now because I mean, I really loved Sony. I was never a Sony pony cuz I would always call out anything that I didn't like. But I really like them. I always called myself a Sony guy. I'm no longer a Sony guy. I'm a free agent. You know what I mean? who can bring out the best entertainment and does it work for me? You know what I'm saying? Um, watch I keep telling y'all watch my video why I hate Nintendo. Just go watch that and you'll understand me as a gamer and you you'll you'll you'll [music] get you'll get it. Okay. So, I was a Sony guy for so many years. I was almost pulled to the Xbox side when the 360 came out. I was, but I still I was at that time I was going to be both, you know what I mean? I was I was like, I'm I'm playing both of these. This is And [snorts] then um the four uh PS4 won me over. Um and of course, and then the PS5 kind of sealed the deal. Like I really love my PS5, but with them doing this, with how they've been treating us and treating people [music] and not responding, not talking to us, not speaking to anyone but the people that are investing into their company. No, no, no. Let's not you, you know, you're going to talk to the shareholders, but you're not going to talk to the the the millions upon millions upon millions of people that actually seriously supported you and bought all your games and all your systems, all your controllers, your hats, your t-shirts, everything. Doesn't make any sense. They have burned so many bridges with so many people. They have burned so much, man. Um, and you know, Nintendo burnt their bridges with me a while ago. That's the reason why you I never, you know, cover anything Nintendo related. I don't buy anything Nintendo. Every once in a while you hear me talk about Nintendo, but that's about it.
