Hey everybody, Tim Knight and we're going to do a rocket roundup here. SpaceX has been public for two or three months now and I thought it'd be a good time to take a look at the sector and see what's going on. And I'll just uh jump right to the conclusion then then kind of review the charts. It seems to me that the whole space sector is in pretty bearish shape with one notable exception. So let's thumb through these uh swiftly. Uh begin with a space mobile as this has been out for uh a number of years since 2019. Didn't really do much of anything for a while. Has it own little private bare market and then after 2024 this explosive move higher thousands of percent and generally speaking of course a lot of rocket stocks were doing very well before SpaceX came out simply because there was no SpaceX to trade and the public wanted there to be. They were excited about the sector and so these acted as sort of a a proxy for SpaceX and so the peak on this one was late in May and since that time it has been cut more than half and from a charting perspective the the trend line failure right here is notable. Um and support really isn't showing up until around 36 or so where this green dash line is. So this is the first example of something that's in pretty bearish condition. Uh the next one is Planet Labs PL which has been out a little less time about about half a decade. And here we had a nice base form and from that level which was just about $3 or so it went up to around $50. So again a quadrupled digit percentage move just a tremendous rise higher with some blips along the way. We had one here and here and here. uh each time producing not too bad of a of a slump. But then this one, the most recent one, was a big one and we're down about 60% since that peak. And we've cracked below this level here. So this is a pretty impressive top right here. And there's not a lot of reason from a charting perspective that this thing should rally from these levels. This is this portion here is not the same as these others. These did produce dips, but they all recovered. This one seems more severe. Rocket Lab, RKLB, kind of the same idea. Been around for about six years. Had this base form as with the others around 2024, it began to rally. And this had bottomed at also around $3 or so. Went up to 150. So, staggering gains in the space. And once more, we had some reversals along the way here and here and here. None of them too nasty. But then we had this one. So basically once SpaceX was out, a lot of the bloom was off the rose on this sector because SpaceX was there to trade. And in this instance with Rocket Lab, we've moved from 150 to about a 60% loss or so. We're down trading around $60 right now. Um so that's been a quite severe drop as well. Although this is looking somewhat more stable at these levels than some of the uh the others. And one company with a much longer history at 20 uh 20 years is L3 Harris symbol LHX. And this is a lot more of a mature company. Um and we have had in the past um a rounded top here which didn't really amount to much of anything. And it could be the same situation here. This is a better established company and this probably one of the most stable among these. Okay. So now we're going to look at the one stock out of all these that actually looks well positioned. And wouldn't you know it, it's SpaceX itself. Uh there are some interesting things going on with this. First of all, this $150 level has been a barrier for weeks. It is finally starting to get cracked. Now, it wasn't anything definitive. As I'm recording this, we just peaked over that to some degree. We got up to around a little about 152 and change uh on the day, but it is starting to poke its head above that level. This is a psychologically very important level. Uh, I would also add that if you look at the volume on this, we're having a nice increase lately in the volume. You can see it in a more exaggerated fashion here. So, over the course of this stock's history, so it came out uh here in June, uh, which coincidentally is when everything else started sinking, had a tremendous 3-day rally, and absolutely collapsed, lost the majority of its value. But since then, it's been dusting itself off and trying to push its way past 150. Now, there's a lot less data to go on here, a lot less history to go on. Uh, but I think that between the volume increase, the Pearson of 150, the fact this is far and away the market leader, and right in the coattails of the forthcoming anthropic IPO, because remember this is as much an AI company as it is a rocket company, uh, it looks like amongst these, this is the best positioned. And that's ironic because if you look at the group ETF UFO, you can see the same ugly bearish pattern that most of its compatriate share. So, weirdly, even though SpaceX is the king in the space, it's also the only one that actually looks reasonably bullish.
