Now, when it comes to selling, is now a good time to start selling off some AMD? Well, I guess it obviously depends on the position that you're in, but if you are someone who is considering selling AMD, I'm not going to try to convince someone to sell it if they don't want to sell it, especially if it's a long-term asset. Just hold it for the long term, right? But if you are considering taking some profit and you're wondering if now is a good time, I would say yeah. 13 days ago, I made a video for you all titled AMD investors is finally happening. Here's my plan. And in that video, we were talking about the fact that as AMD's price was coming down into this golden zone and interacting with this ascending level of support that the buyers were finally stepping in and really showing their strength. And I said, listen, once you start to see these signs and these signals that the buyers are there, they're present, they're willing and able to push the price back up, you don't want to ignore them because it's very, very common to see some real momentum start getting gained towards the top side and a lot of this downtrend being erased. And so I said, what you need to be on the lookout for is AMD's price to be able to come up into this topside golden zone. now. So, it was the golden zone that was above the price here, right around $500 to $55 and it needs to break it because I said, look, if it can break it, I honestly think AMD might start working itself back up towards the, you know, 550 560 level and potentially start running all the way up to a new all-time high. Well, fast forward 13 days later, and what we can see is that is how it's played out. Not only did AMD continue to find support off of those levels that we were looking at there, but it broke through that golden zone around $500 to $55. It back tested it, then used it as support to then climb all the way up to nearly around where we drew that little drawing. Now, this was just a random drawing. Don't get me wrong. I drew it up to $620 just to go to show AMD giving a full extension. And if you actually look at where AMD is, it's made essentially that exact move. And so now that AMD has made the move that we were hoping for or looking for, what I want to talk about in today's video is what usually happens now, right? Once AMD does go and it finds some support and it uses that support to break through a golden zone and hit a new all-time high, what happens from there, but what I personally am doing or would be doing in this sort of scenario with AMD now that it has hit a new all-time high. Okay, so we have a good bit to get into today. And of course, I did want to give you an update following up on the one that we posted about 2 weeks ago. So, with that in mind, folks, let's go ahead and let's jump straight on in. So, first and foremost, now that AMD's price has pushed up towards a new all-time high, one of the biggest questions that people are going to ask that I'm seeing all over the comment sections is, Tyler, can this continue? Can we see AMD continuing to climb and continuing to hit new all-time highs from here? And my simple answer is yes, but every step that it takes from here is going to get harder and harder. Okay. So, the reason as to why I believe AMD can continue from here is because it has not fully Fibonacci extended yet. And if you don't know what that means, don't worry about it. I'm going to make it very, very simple for you. So, in the world of technical analysis, there are these things called Fibonacci extensions. And they simply just plot out how high the price of an asset can go before it generally will start to slow down a little bit. And what we can see is that on the A andd price, those two Fibonacci extension levels, the nearest ones are $637 and $712. And so considering the fact that AMD is currently only at $66, yeah, I do think it's reasonable to assume that AMD can push into these extension zones towards the top side between 712 and 637. And if we actually look at AMD's history, it does have a history of being able to pull that off. For example, if we look at the Fibonacci extension that it did back here, I mean, it absolutely flew up through those levels. If we look at the Fibonacci extension that it did right here, it absolutely flew through those levels. And if we look at the previous one from back here, just for one more example, you can see that it absolutely flew up to those levels, but not through those levels as it hit that extension zone between the blue line and the green line before ultimately getting rejected back to the downside. So AMD does have a pretty solid history of being able to make it all the way up into 637 to 712 bucks, right? And so I do think that it can try to continue this move upwards. um you know h how much more percentage that we're talking you know possibly another 5 to 15% towards the top side. So that's why I think that it can continue upwards. However, the second part of my answer was that every step from here is going to get harder. And I do believe that that is the case because what you have to understand is that once you start getting close to this Fibonacci extension zone, once you start getting close to this general sell zone, um the sellers start to step in, right? People start front running it. Some people start to get nervous like uh what if it doesn't go all the way into the extension zone? And so they'll start selling a little bit early. Some of these major institutions also also set their algorithms to fire off those sales prior to hitting this so that they can start locking in profit just in case they get front run. So it's like this self-fulfilling prophecy of front running. You know what I mean? Where people start selling a little bit early because they're nervous that everyone else is going to start selling a little bit early before it actually hits this extension zone. And that is exactly why today, if we actually pull up the 4hour chart, that is exactly why today we are seeing a little bit of a pullback happening. And it's nothing dramatic. It's nothing crazy, right? But it is why you are seeing it slow down a little bit. People are starting to frontr run this Fibonacci extension zone. And when you mix in the fact that we are also seeing AMD just in general getting a bit overextended as it is of course at a plus 4.72 on the 4hour HCI and currently at a 4.73 on the daily HCI. It definitely does go to show that you know every step forward from here is just going to be harder and harder to take. Okay, so for those of you who are wondering, you know, Tyler, can this go a little bit higher? Can we continue to see AMD climb? Yeah, I definitely think so. I would just be a little bit careful because we're getting very overextended. It's running a little bit dry the higher that it's going and it's getting real close to that extension zone, which is historically where it will start to slow down. Now, the next question that a lot of people have um that I've seen at least is, well, how high can this go, right? How high can this move that AMD's in right now take it? And obviously this is super super subjective and speculative. There's no real way of knowing. But what I can say is that AMD does have a history of getting, you know, in its most if we're going to go as far as we can as hard as we can towards the top side, generally you're going to look for, you know, anywhere from 877 to 7 uh 712 bucks, right? if this is really really going to be bullish and you're going to see this thing really running like it did a couple times over the years um you're looking at AMD going between 712 and 877. So and you know there is a world in which you know AMD has another 15 to 42% in gains sitting directly in front of it. Is that going to be hard? Yeah, that is going to be very difficult to do. Am I expecting that AMD is just going to run straight into 712 to 877? No, I'm honestly not. We're already running a little bit hot now that we're sitting at 611. So, I'm not expecting it to just go up another $300 very easily. But for those of you who are wondering how high it can go, that is historically about as high as it gets before it almost has to slow down, before it almost has to stop making that move towards the top side. You know, if we look at AMD's history and we actually zoom out to the weekly charts and we see how it's run from a weekly perspective, you can see that playing out, right? Even in a moment like when we've had this beautiful run that we're on right now, if we actually look at how that's been on a Fibonacci extension perspective, AMD is just getting up through that green line. It's just getting up past 443, which is the 1.618 Fibonacci extension, looking for a possible full extension up towards 8.93. So again, if you compare that to where we are right now, I mean, that would be like AMD getting up to around 712 bucks. You know what I mean? So it definitely could still continue to the upside and I could still see it having another, you know, $100 or so to go, but again, every single step forward that it takes from here is going to get riskier and riskier and the odds are that eventually it's going to pull back. eventually it's going to slow down and it's going to create another opportunity to you know accumulate at some of these lower levels right so in general that's my belief for the future if you are looking at it from an upside potential perspective now with that in mind a lot of people are wondering you know is now the time you know to to sell is now the time to buy should we hold well from my perspective honestly you know whenever it comes to say like the portfolios that I've been building in front of you guys this is not in time that I personally would be doing buying right and I've made that pretty clear for you guys here on the channel a lot recently that I don't buy in these sorts of moments. I don't buy things when they're very exciting and everyone's looking forward to it and everyone's optimistic and euphoric and the price is going up because you have to remember the higher up that something goes, the more downside potential there is. The lower down something goes, the more upside potential there is. So I like to buy in moments in which there is the least downside potential and the most upside potential. That's why I buy in you know whenever the price is falling whenever the downside potential is decreasing and the upside potential is increasing. Well as AMD's price goes up from here its downside potential is only increasing and its upside potential is only decreasing. For example, there is a world in which AMD could come all the way back down into like the $450 to $500 range. That is possible. I don't think it's super likely, don't get me wrong, but it is possible and that could be a move of 15 to 20% towards the downside, right? Do I think that AMD is just easily going to make a 20% move towards the upside and just fly through that 1.618 extension? I'm not quite sure. And so already in the short term that it would be easier for AMD to fall 25% from here than to climb 25% from here. And again, that's not the sort of environment that I like to buy in. I like to buy bottoms. I like to buy in moments like this where I was telling you guys, hey, listen, we're finally starting to see the signs and the signals that we may be opening up for some upside potential here. These are the sorts of moments that I like to purchase in. These are the sorts of moments I like to accumulate in. And so, no, I wouldn't go and say that this is the best time to be buying AMD personally. It's just mathematically not the best time in terms of your odds. You know, I would say that it's entering into a good time to start taking some profits, I think anywhere between 600 and 712 is a decent time because the odds of a slowdown happening in here at some point are very high. Sure, it could go up straight past it and then slow down afterwards, but odds are that you're going to end up seeing this turn out to be a pretty decent time to start trimming a little bit of profit off the table, especially again considering the fact that you are already getting so extended on basically every single time frame. We're not getting bearish divergence yet, which does go to show that it can continue upwards from here, right? So, I maybe wouldn't full port it. I maybe wouldn't sell everything, but taking a little bit of profit off the table, maybe trying to get your initial investment out or whatever it may be. It definitely is starting to make sense as we are entering into this extension zone or at least getting close to it. Again, I wouldn't fullport it because I could see this still trying to chug upwards a little bit, but starting to slowly exit does make a lot of sense to me. Or just holding. Holding is another fantastic option. Um, you know, a lot of people who invest in AMD are holding AMD for the long term. A lot of people who hold AMD believe that AMD is going to be a two or three trillion dollar asset one day. It'll eventually crack a thousand dollars. And if that is your belief, then obviously just hold hold, you know, hold steady, hold true. Just remember, right, there is a world in which this thing does slow down or pull back sometime soon. And you just need to be okay with that mentally. If you're going to hold in a moment where we are going euphoric, you just need to be okay with knowing that it might pull back and it might slow down at some point and erase some of those gains that you're seeing right now. But remember, those are unrealized gains. Until you sell, it is not real profit. So don't even hold on to it. It's not that big a deal. It goes up, it goes down, no worries. No big deal. Just continue to hold steady for the long term, right? That is how I would be handling this. I don't see this as being a great time to buy. Personally, I do think that this is a decent time to start trimming some profit. I think it's a great time to hold and kind of just let it play out and go from there, especially with some of the news that we've gotten recently with, you know, some of your some of your AI companies. Okay, so that's how I would be playing it right now. just proceed with a little bit of caution. Exercise a little bit of caution now that we are making this move towards the top side because this is when everyone's going to start to get excited, right? Me and you, we were looking at this thing whenever it was finally starting to flash those signals early on around, you know, 497 bucks. Now that people are getting real excited and real euphoric and saying AMD is the next the next thing and all this sort of stuff, that's when you want to maybe scale back and be a little bit more cautious, a little bit more um you know, careful. Okay, so I'll keep you updated as it does play out. Hey, I will remind you guys that later today we are going to be doing Toolkit Tuesday. Um toolkit Tuesday is something that we do every Tuesday over in the toolkit Discord if you want to join. It's essentially like a 60-minute analysis session where I'm looking at the charts and I'm using the toolkit. The toolkit is this thing that does my technical analysis for me. You've probably seen me use it a couple times, you know, today, which is essentially just, you know, when the price goes up and the meter goes up. This meter tells you if it's price is getting too high, if it's getting too low. The green lines are the buyer zones, the red lines are the seller zones. You got divergence trackers and a bunch of other stuff. If you purchase the toolkit, you get access to the toolkit discord. And I'm going to be hosting toolkit Tuesday later today in there. Okay? So, make sure that if you do have the toolkit, you stay tuned and look at the announcements channel in the Discord for that. And if you don't have the toolkit and you want to check it out, I do have, of course, the link down below. You can learn exactly how it works and all that sort of stuff. It's a onetime payment. It is not a monthly subscription. It's a onetime payment. You have this bad boy for life. So, make sure to go check that out if you are interested. And, uh, yeah, I'll keep you updated on AMD as it all plays out. See everybody.
