[music] >> Bloomberg Audio Studios. Podcasts, radio news. >> The Stock Movers Report, your roundup of companies making moves in the stock market, harnessing the power of Bloomberg data. I'm Tim Stenovec along with Carol Massar. Let's take a look at some stocks on the move today. We're joined by Bloomberg News cross-asset reporter Isabel Lee. Hey Isabel. >> Hello. Should we talk about SpaceX? >> Let's talk about SpaceX. >> So ticker is SPCX. I think this is interesting because the stock fell below the 135 famous price earlier today, but it closed just at 135.27. So I mean, this is the price that famously SpaceX sold themselves to investors and that got them a record $86 billion offering. So I think this is more symbolic than anything else. I mean, obviously the stock has been subject to volatility. I think in the first three trading days it soared some 50% or something, but this is not that unusual, but still noteworthy because of all the hype surrounding SpaceX. And I mean, we've seen it, you've reported it, you had a 4-hour special in case >> We did. We said it out of the gate, right? I mean, this is not a company that's profitable, right? There's questions about some of its businesses. Everybody seems to be gung-ho about Starlink but um I guess earnings when we get it in a few weeks. >> would be really interesting. We do have we have an analyst saying that SpaceX plans may sound too far removed from immediate cash flow, but same goes with many tech companies, I guess, but anyway, that was just interesting because again, this is a stock we've talked about nearly every day. >> Yeah, and we will continue to talk about it. Yeah. >> looking at the A&R function on the Bloomberg terminal. >> And? >> And? >> Uh 33, excuse me, 81% buys, 16% holds. 30 buys, six holds, >> I >> one sell. >> I know, but that's that's a different story, right? I mean, I don't Some banks are >> Tell me, go. >> no. >> Come on here. It's a safe we're in a safe place. >> We the three of us plus every listener out there. >> me. >> it's an ecosystem, right? Sometimes you want to have a good rating for something because you want something. You know, Tim. >> glad you went there. >> Listen, it takes a lot for a firms to put >> Yes. >> a sell rating. >> Yes. >> In just a normal world. >> Yes. >> And so if there is, you know, the expectation that there's going to be possibly a merger with Tesla or other deals like I'm just saying >> Maybe a equity raise or >> Yeah. I mean they're talking about capital needs. >> to the capital market. >> They're going to have capital needs. >> Yeah, I mean they don't want to go to Are you saying some >> They've already done it, right? >> But are you are you saying that you wouldn't want to like maybe go to a bank that has a sell rating on >> [sighs] >> Is that what you're saying? >> Can we move on? Maybe we move on? >> We can move on. But I'm Is it We can move on. >> We can ponder. >> I ask the questions here. >> [laughter] >> You do ask the questions. The tough questions. >> Let's go to PayPal. That was rallying today. >> Ticker PYPL. So this is also interesting because you see the stock jumping more than 17%. This is the most on record. So of course this comes after a report that Stripe and a private equity company Advent International have made a joint offer to buy PayPal for $60.50 per share valuing the firm at 53 billion dollars. So this is huge and I personally use PayPal when I buy stuff overseas. And I still have my credit card actually. So I still pay a 3% fee all the time. >> What? >> This is why Bitcoin and crypto exist, Tim. Tune in to Tim's show every Tuesday at 12:00 noon. >> [laughter] >> But yes. >> Isabel. >> You're welcome. >> Isabel co-hosts quite a bit, too. She's great. >> Isabel, don't encourage him. I'm feeding his ego too much. Can we do BlackRock? Ticker BLK. >> Ticker BLK. The stock is up nearly 7%. Um, the asset manager reported their AUM that beat average analyst estimates, EPS, and net inflows also came in above expectations. So, the big number is $15.3 trillion, which is unimaginable to me. Like, I >> It's a lot. >> cannot imagine what that looks like. Um, they capped a record first half of new client money coming into the firm. New client money. >> Yep. >> That's I mean, >> World's largest asset manager just got larger. >> Yes. [laughter] All the suffering in the world, there's [music] just still so much wealth. >> This Stock Movers Report from Bloomberg Radio.
