Hi, I'm Susan Jabinski, co-host of the Morning Filter podcast. On a recent episode, Morningstar Chief US Market Strategist Dave Sekera talked about a handful of stocks that he liked today as what he called stocks to rent. These stocks aren't great long-term holdings or forever stocks. They're mostly no moat stocks with high degrees of uncertainty around their cash flows, but they are good stocks to rent because they're trading at really attractive prices and have interesting shorter-term theses supporting them. His picks were Lennar, RH, Ford, Malibu Boats, and Celanese. Today, we're taking a look at two more stocks to rent that look deeply undervalued today. Our first deeply undervalued stock to rent is Mosaic. Mosaic is a leading producer of potash and phosphate fertilizers. It's a cyclical commodity business that's coming down from an unusually strong period. Fertilizer prices have fallen sharply, pressuring revenue, earnings, and margins. Mosaic has also faced challenges in its phosphate business, including competition, higher costs, and weaker pricing. However, higher phosphate prices should drive sequential unit profits in the third quarter and lead to continued improvement in profits through the rest of 2026 and into 2027. In potash, we forecast that global demand growth in 2026 will keep the market largely in balance. We assign Mosaic stock a $35 fair value estimate. Our second cheap stock to rent is Winnebago. The company manufactures motor homes along with towables, customized specialty vehicles, boats, and parts. RV demand soared during the pandemic, pulling forward future demand. The company has spent the past few years trying to right-size production and dealer inventories. We expect dealers to remain cautious on ordering inventory into at least early fiscal 2027, but industry data shows that 8.1 million US households owned an RV in 2025 with another 16.9 million intending to buy one within 5 years. Although we don't think Winnebago has carved out an economic moat, we do think the company has enough brand equity to give it a good shot at capitalizing on these growth trends. We think Winnebago stock is worth $73 per share and it trades well below that fair value.
