Hey guys, welcome to the 40th edition of our Arena with Tiulei. And today we’re hosting the person who generated the biggest audience in the entire history of our weekly Friday meeting at 3 PM. Raiana Andrada, now really on time. Everything okay, honey? How are you doing? I'm good. Are you anxious? I didn't rush much. No. Are you anxious? No. You are. Guys, my wife, she’s a specialist in a technique. Is it called a technique? I am, I work with an approach. An approach. Explain what Gestalt therapy is to everyone, please. Gestalt, over there. Gestalt therapy is one of the approaches in psychology, for those who don’t know. Uh, there are over 400 approaches in psychology. And Gestalt is quite a positive one, so it doesn’t see the human being only as someone who should seek therapy because they have some disorder or some illness. It sees the human being as a potent being. So, in therapy, we work on potential, qualities, and numerous issues beyond just disorders and diseases. It even has, Gestalt has a very critical view of the number of disorders and the hyper-medicalization. Of course, we understand that disorders do exist, yes, emotional issues, yes, diseases, but we don't view the human being as a "depressive" or an "anxious person" or "ADHD" or "autistic," but rather as a person who, you know, has countless qualities, potentials, life issues, and also happens to have that type of characteristic. Uh, Gestalt therapy also. Can I keep talking? Certainly. I’m just here to mediate the conversation. Gestalt therapy is also an approach that views the human being as a biopsychosocial and spiritual being. So , we don’t believe the illness is inside the human being. So, oh, that person is depressed, the depression is inside them. No. We believe that a person gets sick in the environment, in the field, with society, and in relationships. So, a person is not just what's inside them; they are their relationships, the history they’ve lived, and the environment that surrounds their context. So, uh, just as we will consider, understand, and study what’s inside the human being, the physical aspects, we will also consider the transcendental aspects, like spirituality, in the same measure, with the same intensity. Perfect. Now I’ll start here. I’m going to put myself in the shoes of someone who needs help. Not everything I say I feel, I actually feel, okay? But she's going to have a session with me here, so that we can clear up some doubts. Why is this subject important? Because we're living on a rollercoaster in the financial market, and I receive feedback from almost 90,000 people here . So, in this process, I see people swinging between euphoria and depression and, of course, making wrong financial decisions because of it. But I want to get to the foundation here. One of the contexts we're going to use is emotional intelligence, very much based on what Daniel Goleman's book says. So, explain it to the folks here, Rai. Can I call her "love," guys? I'm not used to calling her Rai. Do you allow me to call her "love"? Yes or no? Type it in the chat, please. As my potential client, I cannot allow you to call me "love." You can call me by my name. Look, Estelinha didn't allow it. So, Raiana Andrada Dias, explain what emotional intelligence is from a professional point of view. The concept is the common sense concept, the same concept we understand. Emotional intelligence is knowing how to recognize which emotions you are feeling. So, knowing the signals of my body, like when my face flushes, when I start trembling, when I feel more cornered, what does that mean? Oh, I'm feeling more cornered, I'm feeling sad, oh, I feel a flush on my face, I'm embarrassed. So, identifying the bodily and internal signals, right, that show me that I'm feeling one emotion or another. Uh, managing this emotion, which is the main thing, in a healthy way, because it's important that we feel all emotions. All emotions are valid and have a reason to exist. The question is how we manage these emotions in the best way so we don't trip over our own feet. us being able to motivate ourselves, not an external motivation with praise and applause, but finding something within ourselves that makes us pursue our goals. That is emotional intelligence, learning to delay gratification, impulsivity, that is emotional intelligence, recognizing the feelings and emotions of others. That is the main and first way to be able to exercise empathy. I can't empathize with what you're feeling. If I can't even identify from the signs which emotions you're feeling. Uh, so, being motivated, having empathy and, mainly, most importantly, is the ability to relate in a healthy way. So, all of this gives a person who has emotional intelligence the ability to have better relationships. So, now let's move on to this first part about self-knowledge. Hmm. And here we're going to talk about a case that happened to me, like, a month ago, right? So, I was doing a series on my other digital marketing channel, Ativo Digital Brasil. And then I reached a point where I was making 100 reels a day. And in this process, I would wake up in the middle of the night, sleep disturbances, from so much stimulation I was getting from the screen. Uh, I was sort of dedicated to it from the moment I woke up until the time I went to sleep. And then you came to talk to me, saying that you, as my wife, and our daughter were missing my presence. And my answer was the following: "I need to do this to get results." And then you said to me: "But at what cost, right?" So, I think this is an issue that many people who reach out to me are living through. I need to provide for my family, I need to bring money home. And sometimes the cost to do this has been very high for my health, for my mood, and for the relationships with the people around me . And this is not sustainable, but that person sees themselves with no alternative. The audio, the audio there, the audio. What is the first step to get out of this trap? Finding a solution. So, first, understand that this perception and this pressure we live with are unrealistic and are not healthy. Even though society imposes this on us, unfortunately, we have to try to go against this society at a different pace, because why are cases of depression and anxiety increasing more and more, and not just that? Why were there, a few years ago, a hundred or so diseases in the DSM, which is the manual, right, of psychiatry in the United States that we use internationally, and today there are 400? Why is the world so sick? Why? The level of pressure, we live in a performance-driven society. So, I have to wake up stronger tomorrow, I have to wake up richer tomorrow, I have to wake up prettier. Against aging, I'm supposed to be getting older, and I have to look better and better. I have to be able to do more and more things, I have to perform. Even my hobby has to be performative. I have to I have to be able to earn something from my hobby. A hobby can no longer just be a hobby. I have to monetize it. So this this level of pressure, stimulation, and performance makes anyone sick. We weren't made for this. We were made to have pauses. We were made for everyone to live at their own pace. We were made to have rest. We were made to contemplate, to connect with nature, we were made for human contact, something we're not getting. So, uh, then we enter a loop to maintain this, which is going to make us sick. Period. If you give in to the pressure and decide that this is the pace you want to live, that you want to follow these trends, that you want to listen to what society says , that you can't stop, that you can't regress, that you can't, uh, rest, that you can't even get sick, how can a person be sad and get sick in the middle of society? Someone runs right over them. So, it's completely inhumane and doesn't align with what human beings were created to be. So, if you're going to embark on this, expect to reap the fruits of it. So, that's why it's so common for people to have burnout, why it's so common to live anxiously, why we, uh, people are starting to take more medication to stay, uh, more focused. Because, with the amount of stimuli we see all the time, it's very difficult for us to maintain concentration on one thing or another. With the amount of short videos, with the amount of cheap dopamine that we're being bombarded with all day long, it's very difficult for us to sit down, talk, contemplate. So, we're losing the ability to do things that human beings were born to do. So, we need to break this pattern, understand that everyone has their own pace, and that's okay. Maybe look for solutions, for example, investing is a way consistent with that, because maybe you can work a job that demands less from you, that has less pressure, and earn income, invest, and understand that everyone has their own rhythm, everyone is different. We can't succumb to this pressure because otherwise, it really makes you sick. Some people have this profile, other people don't. Once again, now I'll provide context based on the whole history I've heard from people; it’s not necessarily my own, okay? Especially since I improved after you gave me that heads-up, right? Hmm. You improved, but you still find it very hard to set limits with work. Alright. So, why do I think that those of us who adopt this mindset have such a problem changing it? I'll put this in the context of someone who is, uh, 27 like me, okay? Just kidding, I'm 41. So I grew up watching Rambo; Rambo would take his bullet out and stitch it up, and he overcame that pain. So what did my mother say? I consider my mother sexist, okay? You can't be weak, you have to be strong. If you keep whining every time you feel pain, you won't be the man I raised you to be. How do we disconnect from this identity, accept our fragility, and effectively manage to break this pattern and this cycle? First, the idea that being strong is not getting in touch with your feelings . What is the logic in that? To me, that’s running away. To me, it’s not being weak either, because it is very difficult to get in touch with your emotions and feelings, but to me, it's the exact opposite. Being strong is exactly not being afraid to feel sadness. It’s owning your sadness, it’s owning your fear, it’s owning your anger, it’s understanding that this moment is the time to feel that, and I will feel it; I won't run away, I won't. And that is how you build resilience. That is how you manage to overcome things. Overcoming something is living through that thing, not running away. So, if I want, uh, to get through—I, for example, got a pacemaker last year, and I was talking to my psychologist, and she said: " Raiana, it really impresses me because you don't run from the subject. We talk about it the entire session, and despite that, you don't run away, but at the same time, you're able to handle it." In my life, I understand that it’s precisely because I talk about the subject a lot, because I get tired of, of working through it, tired of looking at it until the moment that, okay, it's over now. I already learned what I needed to from that sad situation, I already allowed myself to feel sadness. I don't feel worse or more fragile because I was vulnerable and sad there. So, first of all, right? Uh, it's very unfair for a person to not be able to be in touch with their emotions. It’s very cruel for someone to hear that they shouldn't feel this or that, especially since we were raised with all these emotions. What sense does it make for a man to be strong by not getting in touch with the emotions inside him? So, to me, it's completely the opposite. A person who lives through a situation truly has the ability to teach others to go through the same path. They truly have the ability to advise. They can truly look back and say, "I lived through that, I overcame that, I faced it and I overcame it." So, whatever the way, live your emotions. And it's exactly a cycle. How do we break this cycle? We lived in a society, we live, our adult society is an emotionally illiterate society. That is a fact. And today, why do all schools have emotional intelligence? All of them have little schools of emotions. Nowadays children are always hearing about this. Why? Because we are trying, after the chaos we live in, to create a society. Uh, even the ecosystem is bringing up this subject. Exactly. So this subject is important, so emotionally intelligent. So we need to break this pattern and this story that the weak run away, the strong run away from emotion, and the weak allow themselves to be sad. It doesn't make much sense, you know? Now I will tell you the standard response I hear from heads of families when I tell them this. Hmm. Inside Master Business. I'll go hungry, I can go through this alone, but my wife, she always shows up with a credit card bill, always shows up with a new expense, and every time we try to work on this, it creates a rift in the couple, it causes fights. And a reality we live in is that divorce rates are extremely altered, I mean, high, right? So it's kind of like the person, I don't even know if that's possible, right? They have to manage not only their own emotions, but manage the emotions of the family they are responsible for. So, bringing awareness to the spouse, who sometimes isn't in unity with this thought. You say, "Oh, so change the pace, but what am I going to do about my kids 'school? Am I going to stop paying?""Because reality keeps running us over. Yeah, I can't tell my credit card:" Look, I'm feeling a bit sad, I won't be able to work as much as I am now. "" How do you actually do that in practice? Because I think that, for those suffering this pain, it sounds like blah, blah, blah. And I don't mean to be disrespectful here; it's exactly the natural objection of someone who isn't at the level of awareness regarding what this actually ends up meaning, right? Okay, let's go. First, it really is a root problem, it's a societal problem, it's a problem that affects everyone, bringing this burden to the man in the family just as it brings this burden to the woman who perhaps feels she needs to keep up with Botox, feels she also has to be fit and beautiful, looking younger and younger, because that's the demand. So there is a demand, for you as a mother, a woman, and a worker as well. It's an unreal demand for everyone, for children, anyway, for everyone. It really is a style of our society. So, I think, as a family, we need to understand, right? And try to talk and understand, realistically, how to escape so much pressure. Maybe school is one thing that you don't want , that the couple doesn't want to give up, but perhaps the physical demands, yes, you know? Or perhaps always raising the bar, yes. Anyway, it's up to each family to have their conversation to understand how to escape these pressures. And I also think, seeking out my own opinion, right? Because as a psychologist, I would lead the client to think about a path for themselves. But thinking about a path for myself, I think seeking, meaning in things that truly make sense , going back to the roots, spending time together and, in our case, seeking the presence of God, all these things are wonderful and free and are the things that bring the most joy and meaning to life. So, connecting with people, helping others, and doing volunteer work, anyway, there are many paths. But, seeking places and paths that truly bring satisfaction, that truly bring belonging, because that's what people are looking for in this social standard, right, in always running against the tide, is seeking belonging, seeking joy, seeking meaning in life in other things that aren't bought, that aren't manufactured, that aren't paid entertainment. And that is my idea. Ela, you mentioned talking, right? I was talking last week to someone who was going through a situation of emotional volatility. Hmm. I'll define it here as depression, but this person said they were very ashamed to talk about their situation for fear of judgment. And I really like a book called Power vs. Force by David Hawkins , where he talks about the levels of consciousness. And how Jesus's level of consciousness is higher, right? And the power that has and how that is for so few people, right? There is, it's formed in a pyramid, and one of the main emotions that dominate people with a low level of consciousness is exactly shame, contempt, hatred. How do we get out of this trap and how do we find a safe place to talk about these things? Because sometimes the husband, and when I say husband here, I'm talking about the head of the household, right? It could be the woman too, the wife. She is sometimes afraid to speak about these frailties to her spouse, because usually this can turn into an argument for the couple, because people don't have the emotional intelligence to understand and compartmentalize situations. What is a good strategy to find a safe place to do this? So, as a psychologist, I will say it's obvious that the safe place to do this is therapy, right? Because in therapy, the psychologist is the only person in a relationship where, no matter what you say, they won't abandon you, unless , you know, you attack them in some way , or make them violate ethics, for example, something very serious. But no matter what you say, what you think, or what your attitude is, the psychologist will never abandon you. The psychologist is there not to judge you, nor to advise you. So, they set aside their values, their concepts, their opinions a priori, and are there for you. And this is the only relationship capable of doing that. I know because I am a psychologist and I am also a daughter and I am also a mother, I am also a wife. And I cannot in any way bring my profession into my personal relationships. With you, I can't act like a psychologist. When I'm going to talk to my mother, I know it's no use staying...... those diagnoses I've suffered from in the last few years. I didn't diagnose you with anything. Don't even start. I can't talk to my daughter as a psychologist. I can't listen to you as a psychologist. I can't talk to my mother, for instance, or my friends. I can't chat with my friends without giving my opinion, because it's impossible. When you're in a different kind of relationship, when you're in a relationship of friendship, love, or affection—not that you don't love your client, but it's in a different, professional way—you get emotionally involved; it brings out your friend side, your spouse side, it brings it out. So it really is impossible; even I, who am trained not to bring my own issues into therapy and do that very well, cannot do that in my personal relationships. So, in therapy, you will speak and you will not be judged. As the bond is built, you will be able to open up, bare your soul, and be vulnerable in front of your psychologist in a safe way. Perfect. I’m going to share my testimony now, okay everyone? I really identify with this situation, where my whole life I was sort of trained to think that having a lot of money was success, right? And then, thanks to my marriage to Raiana, I met Jesus, and I started to experience other types of wealth. And every time I suffer—because I also suffer, even having money, even having health, even having a wonderful wife and a wonderful daughter, I am forced to remember, when I connect with God, that all those things are nonsense . All of that is a distraction from the real wealth, which is living in the presence of God. And you can also train your brain so it starts to process a hug from your wife, a hug from your daughter, playing a puzzle, reading a little book, in the same way that today you might value being in an expensive restaurant, wearing expensive clothes, drinking expensive wine. Raiana and I are very similar in that sense. We get no pleasure at all from going to such-and-such restaurant and being there just to show off to others, having a social life, right? We truly have fun with the people from church; we don't spend anything to have fun, because our church there has an incredible infrastructure. It’s the best music, the best crowd to be around. They offer entrepreneurship courses, Bible courses , for couples, engaged people, women, men . So, I highly suggest, and this is now guidance from your mentor here, brother . Seek a rich life in the church. There is nothing that will lead you to a rich life more than experiencing this. Agree or disagree? I personally agree completely. All right? Uh, what do I suggest here, look? I received a message, and congrats for, uh, talking about this. I am going through a turbulent time in my marriage after 16 years. Brother, I'm going to give you a suggestion. Call your wife and create a daily habit of prayer with her. Why? Couples will go through these moments of drifting apart . These are phases, but you need to direct your relationship toward the kingdom, because Rana does several things that upset me, and I certainly must do 10 times more things to upset her. But we have already made the decision that we will stay married forever, because our marriage points to the kingdom. So, there are some things that, when you are in the presence of God, they aren't even very rational. And whoever is here is normally a more rational person. That's why you connected with me. But the power that God has to act in the supernatural, to perform miracles, is much greater than rationality. So it's about being submissive to His will, kneeling down with your spouse, and opening your heart. Let's point our relationship toward God. And there, I am absolutely certain that you will have a renewal of your relationship. Does that make sense ? It totally does. Great. Now I thought you were talking to him. No, no. Now I am going to another phase of emotional intelligence, self-management. Which is the following: there are triggers that activate bad and good things in my life. Would that be behaviorism or not? Or or does it not necessarily need to be classified as that? No. What is behaviorism? It's an another school of thought, but each approach will call this something else. Huh, explain what you mean. There are things, like for example, you keeping rushing me to leave, it triggers a response, and then I get agitated. Uh-huh. So I have to manage my emotions because I am more explosive. But how do you do that in practice? How do you train for that? Because even though I make a decision here in my brain, my behavior is disconnected from it. So the trigger, as you call it, in Gestalt therapy, we would call what you described a crystallized behavior. What is that? You lived through something in your past that made you feel a certain emotion. What is the emotion you feel when I rush you? To me, one of the greatest qualities of life is living at your own pace. Not that. What is, what is the emotion you feel when I rush you? What do you feel when I rush you? If I could go, I would have already gone. It seems what emotion do you feel when I rush you? I don't even know what the emotions are . What are the emotions? Think of the primary ones. Joy, sadness anger fear. But love, then there's shame. Then there are a thousand shames. My brother Cris said that when I feel pressured I get angry. So it's anger. No, you your brother Cris. So no, people I love and trust, he gets aggressive. He gets aggressive. Differentiating emotions is identifying at least the emotion you feel. This, this is the first step. You say someone said that you what do I feel, Paulo? It doesn't matter. What do I feel? If he you are angry, anger is aggressive. It's anger. Do you think you feel anger? I think I do. Okay. Alright then. You think so you feel anger. I'm definitely wrong. I already know. No, you I I don't know if you don't know what you feel. That's it. It's the first step of emotional intelligence. Being able to identify the emotion you are feeling. If you don't even recognize what it is, that's already an issue. Anyway, isn't there something like an emotions journal? Oh, there is. So okay, when someone rushed you when you were a child, you felt anger. And then today no, I think like this, my, one of the traumas I have out of several, is, I felt very manipulated as a child. So, someone determining my schedule and telling me to go here or there is a type of manipulation in my head that makes you feel what? Okay, so that's right. Anger, right? So , someone rushed you, you felt manipulated and felt anger. So, a need of yours that wasn't met, you felt manipulated and the emotion, the affect that came was anger, okay? Then you behaved in a certain way back then. Nowadays I am not your mother, but you look physically similar. Then that's a much bigger problem that we'll have to call a psychoanalyst for. Oh, boy. Eh, I am not your mother, you are not a child, and in this situation you are not being manipulated, but you act, the affection, the anger from that time comes up. So, what is that? It’s a crystallization, a trauma. That’s exactly it. A traumatic behavior. What you feel, you relive what you felt back then. Except what you’re living now has nothing to do with what you lived back then. And you behave and feel the same thing you felt back then. So, the work of therapy is precisely not to tell you this, like I just did. I wouldn't show you this whole path at all, because the work of the client— well, in Gestalt we don’t even call them patients—isn’t for me to... It is part of my process to become aware of this dynamic. Exactly. I will ask you questions and I will demonstrate through various things that happen in the clinic, and you will notice this movement of yours so that, after noticing, you can choose. Ah, look, I’m acting the same way I acted back then. And this situation is different. I could act differently. I want to act differently, I don’t want to act differently, I will act differently. How will it be different? In neuro-linguistic programming, there is a principle that we always want to take something positive from any situation. What is the benefit I get from this? From crystallizing an emotion from my childhood? Very good question. So, very good question. In Gestalt therapy, we believe—and it’s not in every approach, but it’s similar to neuro-linguistics—we believe that the human being is programmed, is formed in such a way that they evolve all the time, in such a way that they always make the best choices, given what they have in the field at the moment. So, I don't know, your mother spoke to you like that, you felt angry and you hid, let’s suppose, or you replied, "I’m not going now," let’s suppose, I’m making it up, I’m giving an example. And so you replied, and now when I call you, you say: "I’m not going now." You feel the same thing and give the same response. And so, what will Gestalt say? Back then, your response was the best you could do. You were a child, you weren't going to stand up to your mother, you felt afraid, you couldn't identify what you were feeling , so you adjusted there, you did the best you could. So, maybe at that moment that was the best you had to do. And then therapy will show you, today is this the best you have to do? Are you a child today? No. Are you afraid of the person telling you to hurry up? Yeah. No. Are you feeling cornered? No, I'm not feeling cornered right now. So that is the best way. And then it's all in the question. I'm not going to tell you what you're going to do or what you've been doing. So, so you're saying there are associations between these two ideas. Yes. Alright. Now, why did I ask that question? And now we're going to bring it to the financial side. One of the most dangerous beliefs that poor people carry is that money is trouble. Think about a neighborhood, who has the most money in a violent community today? Isn't it the drug dealer? That guy, he's living with problems. Yes. If you start having money, you start having to pay taxes, you're targeted to be robbed. And these are very common associations in our society . So, if money enters my life, how am I going to get rid of this problem? Because my association is: whoever has money has problems, and I want to live a life without problems. I'm going to distance myself from money. What's the easiest way for me to distance myself from money? There are several. Spending, because I still get cheap dopamine from consumerism. Uh-huh. And I fit in with the rest of society. And then I feel like I belong. And this is a survival principle of our brain. Those who walked in groups had the protection of the group against predators, basic to our brain here. So, do you see how this dynamic she explained—of me getting angry, of me being late or her pressuring me for us to arrive on time or leave at some time —also appears in your financial life? If you don't have a clear awareness of what associations you make with money, you will never want to have money. Did I talk nonsense here or not? No, you spoke the truth. Beautiful. Let's go to the next one now , since she has a schedule. She's very busy, folks. Bye, everyone. Empathy. You are a very empathetic person. Ah, my wife has an absurdly good social work here, right? But she has a different type of empathy than mine, doesn't she? Explain to me how we can have empathy for someone who is on a low frequency, let's call it, but still manage to lift them up. Because one of the things you taught me is that when I want to be with someone and be empathetic toward them, I have to be in solidarity with that pain. And I have a habit of saying: "No, come on, don't worry about it, let's be happy," I make jokes, I want to make the person laugh. And that is not a type of empathy. Explain a bit more how this empathy can be developed in a healthy way and how we use that to have greater emotional intelligence. So, first learn to identify the emotion that the other person is feeling. I need to know the internal and external signs of each emotion. Me, with my own, and seeing that in the other person. That is the first thing. Because often the person says: "Oh, it's all fine," and they have a pained face, and so, those who are empathetic, who have emotional intelligence, will notice: No , it is not all fine. You're saying that, but you're down, you're quiet, you have a different expression. So, seeing, identifying, connecting with the other's emotion, connecting with the other's pain. So, it's validating in the sense that, first as active listening, I am here to listen to you, tell me. And really listening, not just hearing and thinking about something else and waiting for your turn to speak , but really being there to listen to that person and connect to their pain. That's it, it's not my vision, it's not my pain. I cannot measure the pain of another. We can't even do that, in psychology we explain this. I can't even put myself in the other person's shoes. That is a lie. I have a life, I have values, I have a life story, I live in a completely different context than the other person. How am I going to put myself in their shoes? I don't know what they are feeling. I don't even have a way to try to know. I can only offer solidarity, right, there in that moment to be with them while they are in pain. And you as a friend, right , not a psychologist who wouldn't do this, but you as a friend can also try to cheer the person up, that's not a problem. After that, you know, I listen to you, I understand what you're feeling and never belittle, that is very important, never belittle the other person's pain and neither force them to really get over it, but cheering them up and trying to distract them after all that is no problem. All right? And then we move on to social skills, which is how we manage relationships and influence people. How to do that without being authoritarian, without being bossy and without invading other people's space, right? I think inspiring is the only way, isn't it? Inspiring with your life, being an example. That's it. This live here is for you to make clips , for you to talk more, okay? It's not just that. Ending with "That's it." It's not good in content production that we hope to edit later, okay guys? I'm here giving a meta-analysis, I'm just keeping it real. All right. So, in this process, how do we take care of our children so they develop emotional intelligence? By allowing them to be children too. Why am I saying this? I learned a content technique and I created content based on someone else's text. I just interpreted it. It's as if Roberto Carlos recorded a song that Luan Santana wrote. And the story was basically this. My daughter's school called me and said she forgot her snack . I said to let her go hungry, because she wouldn't die of hunger. And from there, the school principal, the school teacher, said: "Okay, but what do I do? " I said: "Leave it, let me deal with her later." And then the text continued saying that I wanted to show my daughter that she needs to have responsibility and she will pay for her forgetfulness and such. And then in this context, just to add a pinch of engagement, I said my daughter was 5 years old. Why? Because I know that would upset a lot of moms and a lot of men too, but there were many people saying: "You were right, you're going to raise a strong woman." There were also many people saying she was just a girl, that she didn't have the maturity for that. So, what does a professional psychologist say about a situation like this that I interpreted there and created so much polarization? Speaking of a situation. What was the question before this whole story? How to develop emotionally intelligent children at their right time, without rushing, without really skipping phases. So, the question is this, it's helping that child in this emotional step-by-step, recognizing the emotion they're feeling, showing them, uh, using mirroring, look, daughter, ah, I'm sad today, is it okay to feel sadness? It will deal with all the emotions that she feels or that he feels. A child cannot emotionally self-regulate because the areas of the brain capable of doing that are not yet formed until 21 or 25 years of age. So, they need a calm adult in that moment to help that child with that regulation . So, if the adult speaks to them harshly, yelling or hitting, I won't even mention, right? But in a way that frightens the limbic area of that child , it will confirm, it's already, right, in a state of alert, it will confirm danger, danger, danger, danger and they will continue in that loop, acting hijacked by the emotion, and will not be able to calm down and self-regulate. So the adult has to be calm right there beside them, it's okay, calm down, it's okay. And that is how the child learns to emotionally regulate. So this, parents need to do this with their children and teach this, because that is what emotional self-regulation is. Now, the story you mentioned, which I didn't understand what it had to do with this, people were criticizing me, saying exactly that I wanted to teach my daughter a lesson in maturity, but the child is 5 years old. Yeah. Then you are talking about an example of a consequence, a natural consequence, when the child, uh, is, for example, she was the one who had to get the snack, it was her responsibility. Yeah, in the context it was in the context it was So she at 5 years old, right? She had a responsibility and she didn't handle it in the best way, so she will live the consequences of that. In any other situation, for example, honey, let's put on your coat to go out . No, mom, I don't want to put on my coat. I don't want to put on my coat. Kids are like that. Okay, honey, then you, if you feel cold, mommy can't do anything about it. So, the child went out, felt cold, lived a natural consequence of that. We really do need to let our children live the consequences of what they choose. But I don't agree in this fictional case, that the responsibility of getting the snack should be the child's, and especially a responsibility like that at 5 years old. So, in that case I disagree, but I do agree with natural consequences. Yes, I agree that we need to let our children live with the consequences of their choices. If those choices are theirs, there’s responsibility that falls on the parents, right? They are the ones who will pay for our—for our forgetfulness. Perfect. Now I don’t know how you’re going to fit that into psychology. The last question I have to go back to. This right here is a trigger that irritates me, okay? And I can’t do anything because I have to help someone else. I’ll help them later. Go ahead. This right here is a trigger that irritates me. Sit with that irritation. What emotion did you feel? Man, I’m trying to give my wife some attention here, and she keeps looking at the clock. I’m aware. I’m the host of the show here. I know you have to leave at 4:00 and I’ll let you go, buddy. Don’t you trust me? What emotion are you? I know, I don’t even know what these emotions are. Anger, sadness. Oh, I feel anger all the time, man. I feel anger all the time. God, poor me. Go ahead. Then she gets even angrier at me because of that, because I let it go, I get angry, and then I end up laughing at the anger, you know? Because I don't take it seriously. Uh, I lost it now. Got really angry. That’s it. When you’re angry, you can’t access your rational side. A person knows they have to respect the method, buy the trend on the highs, buy the trend on the lows. I repeat this here 10,000 times. Then the person gets there and can’t execute the method. Hmm. I was talking to someone else who said exactly that. Man, I know I’m supposed to do these things, but I go and do it differently. I’m not trying to defend anyone here, I think it’s wrong, okay? But I’ve had a friend who would say: "Man, I don’t, I know it’s wrong to cheat on my wife, but I would go and cheat on her." Why? Because I—I let myself get carried away by the situation. So, there are people who live in constant suffering, in constant anguish, because they think one thing and do another. How does that work? And how do you resolve that? Thinking one thing and doing another. Yeah. Because it’s not enough for us to just know it cognitively. That doesn’t move us to do things. That’s not why a person stops doing or starts doing things. Just knowing it cognitively is one of the processes. Why do we call Gestalt therapy the therapy of "becoming aware"? I'm not there to provide psychoeducation. "Look , doing this is wrong." The person already knows that. So why are they doing it? Everyone stops doing something or does something for a reason. And why do we bring it to consciousness? Why don't we just tell the person what's wrong so they can discover it and find their way? Because this process of clearly facing something, of becoming aware of something emotionally—it's an emotional consciousness, a consciousness beyond the cognitive. So, for example, let me give an example. Smoking is wrong. I tell someone " smoking is wrong," and they say, "I know, I've been smoking for 50 years."" For 50 years I've known smoking is wrong." No, sorry, smoking is bad for your health. "I know, I've been smoking for 30 years, I know it's bad for my health, I know it can cause cancer, do this, do that, I know the people around me don't find it pleasant." Oh, alright then. Then some time passes, maybe that person is in therapy or some other life process, right? They lose a very dear friend to cancer caused by cigarettes. And then that brings about an emotional awareness in them. They've reached their limit. My God. Then what they heard 30 years ago, and have been hearing for 30 years, finally touches them. Now, ah, now I have a reason. Now I have something that gives me strength . Now, yes. Now, from this moment on, I can't take it anymore. I'm going to— I'm going to stop. So that is awareness , that is "becoming aware." And we can have that, we can have that by watching a movie. I found it in many ways. So here is Tiúli's movie tip. This week I saw a very good movie called " The First Ladies" with Sacha Baron Cohen, who is Borat. Basically, he hits his head and he lives in a very sexist world. Then he wakes up in a world where women dominate everything, and he experiences that reality. Then you'll go see the movie. But sometimes the penny drops while watching a movie, seeing someone else's situation, so you don't have to suffer it yourself to have that growth. Perfect. Yes. Uh, I'll let you go 4 minutes early because you behaved very well, okay? You, not so much. Now say goodbye, leave a final message for the people. Guys, thank you for this space. You can invite me whenever you want. I love talking about this subject. Uh, you can follow my Instagram, where I'm making several videos about psychology as well, beyond child sex education. I don't know if you remember, but I'm also a child sexuality educator, and I also work in abuse prevention. So follow me there, invite me. What's the Instagram for you guys? Raiana Andrada. Hang on, let me put it here. Okay. It's a pleasure being here. If you want , send questions to my Instagram too. Can you see someone who is my student here or not? I can. They aren't my friends, are they ? Look, guys, look at her doing her little promo. Yeah, right? Later to pay the affiliation here, here, pay 30% commission, guys. Right here. Let's see this number grow. Come on. Let's see this number grow. Where is it? Come on, guys, you right here. El asked. Raiana, do you see adults and children? At the moment. Adolescents and adults. Elderly, no. Elderly too. So everyone except children at the moment. At the moment, adolescents and adults. Children, no. At the moment, no. What is a child? Under 12 years old. Damn, that's it. I'm going to refresh it here, okay? I'll count to five for you to put this here. Look. Four followers. Oh, guys, I see patients online too, okay? If that's the concern. Olivia, Olivia, come here, come show up here. Come, Olivia, one minute. You're not wearing your school uniform, are you? No. Come here, come here. There, come here. It's the love of Daddy's life. Who's the most beautiful thing in the world? Me, my little baby. Loving daddy. Yes. Oh, my God. She is perfect, guys. That's it. So, she's going with you over there, go. Kisses. And she's going to sleep out, guys, with her friends. Bye, guys. Folks, now let's go here, look. Kiss, honey. Thank you. Okay. Now let's continue here with "Mercadito ." Oh, 98. Guys, let's go, Serginho. I've been in love with my wife since the first time I saw her. I got lucky with that one. Alright , folks. What are we experiencing in the financial market currently, right? Let me just understand. Does everyone here know how to buy and sell? Tell me. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate , or advanced in the market, now that the boss is out of the house, we're going to talk about how to block emotions, how to block emotions and make a lot of money. That is the topic of today's class. Let's go, Zenildo. Amí is a beginner, Carlos is a beginner, Vinícius is a beginner. Daniel Bragueto. Yeah, yeah, Faustinho is full of profits, doubling his capital, man. And Gabriel too, a beginner. Alright. So, let's talk to you quickly here. First step you need: open an account with a brokerage firm. Second step: know how to use a home broker. Third step: know a strategy so you have a logic for buying and selling . And I'm going to have a chat here. I think many people would like to benefit from this recommendation, right? I ask myself what I would do if I started from zero and lost everything. The answer is very simple. Up to the first 100,000 BRL, I would focus only on trading trends through options. Trends through options is exactly what we do. And we know that this works. Why? Because we have a lot of historical data and practice showing that this really brings results. Then, once I reached 100,000 BRL, I would start following this step-by-step. I would start diversifying my assets, because then I'm starting to talk about building a legacy. And how do you build this legacy? Step two: owning dividend-paying stocks here in Brazil, because these companies are mature, profitable, and you earn this income periodically without even needing to pay taxes up to a certain limit. Step four: you will buy American dividend-paying stocks, because these companies with strong brands will generate income for you in dollars. And so, every time Brazil is doing poorly, these stocks will appreciate. Step five : buy American fixed income as well to further stabilize your wealth. Remember , we are already talking about more than 100,000 BRL, okay? Up to 100,000 BRL, it's just options. And step six is to add a little commodity to your portfolio, because the behavior of gold and silver is different from Brazilian stocks, it's different from American stocks and American fixed income. Why do I know this works? Because I've been doing this for 27 years. So I have total clarity. if you know the right scenario and strategy, you buy at the right time, you sell at the right time, you know which stock to buy and sell, and that’s how your money works for you. it’s not you working for the money. And if I didn't have this knowledge—because no one can take that away from me—I would go to the cheapest place to acquire it. And I am absolutely certain that the Explosive Gains Immersion is the cheapest place for you to acquire this knowledge. Just in the last edition we held, there were 3 hours of content on the first day. So it was on a Monday, and it will be repeated on a Monday starting at 7 PM and it went until 10:30. Tuesday it started at 7 PM and went until 11 o'clock. And on Wednesday we even overdelivered, we provided another bonus class that started at 8 o'clock and went until 10 o'clock. Thursday we had it again, Friday we had it again. So this process only costs a symbolic amount. And this is just for me to separate the curious people from the people who are truly committed to learning. I've spent a lot of time helping people for free, and you know what happens? People simply ignore it. So this ticket doesn't generate profit for me. It is just an amount for you to commit yourself to this solution. I'll leave the link somewhere here, in case you want to participate and secure your spot. There are people who buy two, three, four editions, because we are always bringing something new. And in the Explosive Gains Immersion, besides the knowledge, you receive three strategies: to earn on the rise, to earn on the fall, in sideways markets, in high volatility, and in low volatility. And you also get 20 recommendations, because with those recommendations, you can apply everything we teach in the Explosive Gains Immersion in practice the very next day. And then you can pay for this ticket with the results you'll get from applying it in practice with my guidance. Got it? The link will be down here. Whoever wants to participate, feel free. Let me read the chat a little bit here. Which brokerage firm can we use? I suggest Genial, BTG, or Rico, okay? Genial is the cheapest one. Great, Eduardo Fleuri, a very warm welcome. Talk about over-delivering. Even while making mistakes and disregarding the ATVs in simulation, I made money. Now, more importantly, imagine doing it the right way. The horizon is very prosperous. Grateful, brother. I study by participating in the immersion. Every time I learn something new. Thanks, Eline. Beginner student. I heard about the change in the period for the Nitro room indicator . Can I verify that? That information now, Flávio, is only available to those who participate in Master Business, okay? That doesn't mean you're left unsupported, because you're in a recommendations room. The recommendations will continue to be made using the best period. If you access all the educational content we provide within the options room, you'll find a value there that will work too, okay? How much should I start with? I've seen students here who started with R $ 1,000 and doubled that capital in a month. Is that something everyone will be able to achieve? No, but I'm someone who is optimistic about your capability. So, I'm not going to sell you short here. I suggest that if you have R $ 2,000 per month, you can trade these four assets: Petrobras, CSN, Usiminas, and Magazine Luiza. And you will get good results, okay? Scarlet Hanson, what is the best brokerage or bank to start with? The cheapest and most reliable one is Genial. Perfect. So, what are we experiencing here in our market? Guys, I don't think we can talk about the current market without opening globo.com, because I've been here creating content for 2 hours and the world might have ended in those 2 hours, right? So, let's take a look here. Fahkin cites the gravity of events and promises a firm response regarding the crisis at the Supreme Court. So, from the little I understand about politics, it seems that Alexandre de Moraes doubled down, wanting to disqualify what happened there with Mendonça, the inquiry, whatever. So it seems that now that he's made this decision, those of us who are on the side of good—because I really consider these people from the PT and the left to be evil. Only those who want benefits without costs are the evil ones, because that's what the enemy offers us as a proposal. Got it? So, we're going to have a lot of volatility in the market. And how can we see that? We can see it through the market itself. And look how interesting , I'm going to connect here to this charting platform called ProfitChart. So the market has had a very strong rally since the 19th and we've had students making over 600%through options. I think I've shown these students getting these results so many times that it's like beating a dead horse to show it again. I'll focus more on the analysis. Do you see that the price, just as it did here by going up and down, could do the same again? We don't predict the future here. We don't predict the future. We just follow this very clear indicator here. And the logic is very simple. When the price is above this yellow line, the trend is upward and I buy call options. When the trend is below the yellow line, as it was here, I buy into these downward trends using put options. What is an option, folks? An option is an instrument that has a behavior derived from the stock. I’ve come up with an explanation that might be good for you. Let’s say a soccer game is the Libertadores final and you go for a sports bet, and I am totally against sports betting, but since it's in the popular imagination and many people can connect with it, it's through this analogy that I will explain what options are. Libertadores final, Flamengo and Corinthians, you only have two different alternatives. Either Flamengo wins or Corinthians wins. So, we are talking about an upward trend, a downward trend. There can't be another alternative within this model that we work with here in the ecosystem. So, within a Flamengo victory, you can also place a bet that Flamengo will win by more than three goals against Corinthians. And then we can make a bet . Bruno Henrique will score three goals in this match. Or I can have another alternative. Corinthians will win by a three-goal difference and Memphis will score three goals in this final. So the betting odds will be one for Flamengo to win, or Corinthians to win. There will be even higher odds for a three-goal difference, and even higher reward odds if you guess which player scored those three goals. Can everyone understand that? Is it clear what an option is? Because those bets on a three-goal difference, or Bruno Henrique scoring three goals, are options within the final score where Flamengo wins. Is that clear? So, from the moment you understand that you can place bets based on the price movement of the stock, you start playing this game here. I believe the trend for Petrobras won't just be upward, it will be a strong rise, and with that, I can benefit through an option. So I'm going to do a quick analysis here, okay? PetroRio is changing its trend today, BRAVE is in an uptrend, and Bradespar is in an uptrend. So different assets have different trends. Look here, CSN is in an uptrend, despite having fallen these last two days, and USIMINAS is in an uptrend. Let's look at another asset here. CSN Mineração, uptrend. Gerdau, uptrend. So, in this process, you have diverse alternatives. Cogna, uptrend. Braskem, uptrend, despite falling. Localiza, uptrend. WEG, uptrend. Minerva Foods, uptrend. Marfrig, downtrend turning today. Look at this pattern here, reversing, meaning it hit a downtrend line and now respected it. And the HW is marking that this trend is turning. Is this a guarantee that we will have a positive result? No. This just increases our probabilities of success. And that is exactly what we are looking for here. Cosan is in an uptrend. Magazine Luiza, uptrend. Lojas Renner, uptrend. MRV, uptrend. Cyrela, uptrend. Arezzo, uptrend. JHSF, uptrend . Let's take the example of Magazine Luiza, right? So, what is the logic we use here? What was the first day this trend signaled an uptrend? It was exactly on this day, August 25th, right here. In this period, Magazine Luiza's stock went up 28%. So, over 8 days, the stock appreciated 28%. If you had bought a call option for Magazine Luiza on the day the trend was determined, which was the 25th, you would have bought here and would be holding this option until now here, see? a 332% appreciation in that period. So, when I say I'm going to teach you how to double your capital in less than 30 days, this is exactly what I'm showing you in practice right now. How do you execute this trade? You open what we call the order entry screen, you put in the asset name and you execute it in practice. Perfect? Simple as that. Now, we have some issues that are details which, of course, we only disclose in more in-depth programs. So, which option do I buy? What is the expiration of that option? What do I do when volatility is high? What do I do when volatility is low? We deliver all of this chewed up for you. We deliver it chewed up. And the historical result of this chewing is right here. Throughout our experience, monitoring through the nitro room, we performed 570 and 6 recommended operations and that accumulated a positive result of 2,415% so far. Now at 4:30 in the afternoon, our analyst will update this. He's doing it now, that's why the numbers are changing there. So now it's there, look, at 2,368%. So it's not the dynamic of winning every day. In how much time were these 582 operations performed? From November 5, 2025 until today. In 10 months, this technology was able to multiply 1%23 times. If you entered with 1%of your capital in each operation, you would have 2,343. Now it changed there to 258, 358, sorry, throughout these 10 months. I don't know, Carlos, is this result good or bad in your understanding? Tell me, since you were the one who asked, dear. Alright. So, there are people who think it's bad, okay, Carlos? There are people who think it's bad. That's why I'm going to bring this chart here, okay? What is this chart? I listed some investor behaviors, where I put the person who only invests in Treasury Selic. The person who is conservative, who will have 92.5%of the capital in Treasury Selic and the rest will have it in options. We have the moderate one . The moderate one will have 85%of their capital in Treasury Selic. The other 15%in the options strategy. The aggressive one will have 70%in Treasury Selic and 30%in options. So, if you added 0.5%more per month of profitability to your portfolio, through options, you would earn 14%on top of the 92.5 and 9.2%adding this profitability through options. Same thing, moderate. The moderate one would work adding 1%per month with the options. Why? Why is he able to add 1% more per month? Because he is more exposed to this asset that provides a lot of profitability. The aggressive one would add 1.5%more per month. It seems like little. Alright? So you have these four profitability scenarios. If you start with 1,000 and you do this for 20 years, ah, but 20 years from now , brother, don't even start with that whining, okay? 20 years will pass anyway. 20 years will pass anyway. If you put 100,000 BRL in 20 years from now, earning only Treasury Selic, you will have 1,374,000 BRL. If you add another 0.5%per month to what you earn in the Treasury Selic, you will have your 100,000 turning into 3,833,000 BRL . That is a difference of 2,400,000 BRL over those 20 years. If you are moderate, meaning you seek to add 1% more per month through options, you turn 100,000 BRL into 10,172,000 BRL, a difference of over 8,700,000 BRL more. And if you decide to be aggressive and have a return rate of 32%per year, putting 70%in fixed income in the Treasury Selic, you turn 100,000 into 25 million. A difference of 24 million compared to those who stayed only in fixed income. Perfect. And why am I saying this? The other day I made some content where we took a supermarket flyer from 2016 until now, which is 10 years, where during this period the IPCA, which is the inflation measured by the government, by IBGE, marked 89% inflation. Then we used artificial intelligence and adapted for the shrinking of products, packaging, and the price increase. This showed that the real inflation of this flyer was 160%. So that's why we see inflation indices mark one thing and we feel the pressure at the supermarket of prices rising much more. That's not to mention other products like gasoline, things linked to oil, the dollar which suffers interference from everything we see happening in geopolitics. So this is a way for you to verify in reality that fixed income is a fixed loss. And that is why you continuing to invest conservatively is actually the greatest ignorance that exists, because you will become decadent. But look at the context of this decision. You are going to lend money to someone, which in this case is the government, and it will decide what rate it will pay you for inflation. That's why we hear that the government manipulates the inflation rate so that it pays less to those who lent it money through bonds. So, be very careful with this idea of, "Oh, I'm in fixed income, I'm safe." You are not safe, you are in a slow death. So, you live a conflict of saving or investing. And since you have money invested, you have already overcome this conflict. Now, your conflict is taking risks or not taking risks. What is the change you have to undergo? You have to learn to take risks. And what I showed you here about the options market, which we cover in great depth for beginners in the explosive gains immersion, is this change for a symbolic price. And the meaning of this is to understand that risk is opportunity, that money can be used for good things in your life. So, standing still watching your financial life sink in quicksand isn't very smart. And look , you can mess up your own life, brother, but don't drag the people who depend on you financially into making those decisions and into that mess with you. Don't do that to them, no. Take responsibility, learn. I'm not telling you to do anything without learning first. I'm inviting you to learn. I am sure that the price we set for the explosive gains immersion doesn't stop anyone from participating, because the value is symbolic. The link will be somewhere around here for you to confirm your participation in the next edition and I'll see you there. Alright , alright. Serginho asked, look here, Eduardo, what I've learned from Monday to today is surreal. Thank you very much. And it's just the beginning, Eduardo. Serginho asked me to talk a little about the books. Hey Mário, grab those other two books that for some reason aren't here, just so we can get the full list, they are there on the...I'll wait for Mário to get here so that we can talk about the books that form the foundation of the explosive gains immersion, okay? I won't put them, I will put them in order, alright? So, these are the books we use to support all the content of the explosive gains immersion. First of all, the most important one is the Bible. Why? Because the Bible is a manual for life. And as we know, it is exactly by doing what Jesus did that we will have a successful life. And there are many financial lessons here, okay? The second book that I believe is very important is Trend Following by Michael Covell. Because this book breaks the belief that buying and holding, doing the so-called buy and hold, is the best strategy in the financial market. And why is it very good? Because you learn to win on the rise and on the fall. On the rise, you also win with buy and hold. But when there is a political, geopolitical crisis, or any kind of recession, you end up losing money when you do buy and hold. When you surf the trend, you learn to win on the fall. We also have The Intelligent Investor. If you don't want to read the entire Intelligent Investor, within the Explosive Gains immersion, I will cover fundamental concepts from that book, but if I could highlight one, it would be chapter eight, where he talks about Mr. Market, the manic-depressive partner that is the market. So, there are times when he is euphoric and times when he is depressed. You can sell to the euphoric one and buy from the depressed one. But this process of depression and euphoria also relates to trends, because it shows that the market is made of trends. And that is why we also use the concepts that Al Brooks brings in Trading Price Action Trends, which is a very important book. When we start talking about trends, we also start talking about antifragility. A portfolio that only gains during a bull market is fragile. A portfolio that gains during sideways movements and bull markets is a robust portfolio. Now, a portfolio that gains during bull , bear, and sideways markets is an antifragile portfolio. Because let's imagine Brazil enters a crisis and the Ibovespa drops 80%. You will have a strong downtrend and you will be able to make money from that. Remember? The market is a fight between buyers and sellers. The buyers create and fuel narratives for a rise. The sellers create and fuel narratives for a fall. Perfect. Furthermore, you have my book "Investida Sobre Gente," which is part biography, but it talks about what I learned from my father in business and also from Warren Buffett. I've already had the opportunity to have lunch in person with Warren Buffett, so I share a lot of that. If you are looking for my most technical book, this one is " Lembrete Racional," co-authored with Christian Wberger, my partner at Beginit Capital. This one is the most theoretical, okay? Not theoretical, uh, more technical. And this one here is " Reset 21," which was a book I created thinking about my future son-in-law. I was in New York taking a walk and I thought, man, imagine if some punk shows up at my house dating Olivia, what would I tell this kid? So we put it in this book here. And to finish, there is also "Fooled by Randomness." Something extremely important, especially for those who want to develop a probabilistic mindset and not be fooled by patterns that your brain creates to protect itself. So these are the books that we cover within the Explosive Gains immersion. Remember, we condense all this content into two days , starting at 7 PM and going until 10 PM. It's designed exactly to take you from beginner to advanced. I know it's an aggressive promise, because some people don't believe in their own capacity, but here we've systematized all the knowledge from these books and my 27 years of experience in the market . Exactly. To provide a clear step-by-step, so you understand that it's much easier than people say. And I don't want to be here delusional, right ? I don't know the right word to use to express that. I truly believe that in one week you can have a huge mindset transformation to go from zero. Not even knowing how to open a brokerage account to already be trading and getting results. Got it? Sounds great. Is there anything else, Cris, for me to say? Tell the folks that Thanks for the testimonial, brother. Tell the folks that we Speak up, Cris. Tell the folks that we've been sending. I can't hear you here. Hello, hello, hello, hello. Say it again, please. Hello. No, okay, I can't hear you. A tribute to this mess that people are making out there. Outrageous. Guys, the nitro room is about to start. I'll say goodbye to you now.
