This week could be the biggest week of 2026. This week is going to decide whether or not we get a Fed hike in about 9 days from now. In this video, I will run you through all of your major catalyst that will be coming including your CPI report on Friday and I will share with you my thoughts about the markets right now. Are we about to have a crash or a correction? You need to hear this. But I think more importantly, it is time to have a shopping list put together. You need to be prepared if the markets do go through a correction, what stocks you will be looking at buying. The last thing you want is to go through a correction and completely freeze up and get scared. I will share with you my shopping list of the top stocks that I will be buying if we do go through a correction as well. You guys need to understand I take a very aggressive investing approach. In the trading community portfolio year-to-date, we are up 97%. What I do and what we do on this channel is share opportunities before Wall Street is talking about them. I want to talk about a stock 3 months before Wall Street or they are on CNBC on this channel. I want to be early to big opportunities and execute when they are in front of me. And that is really our only mission on this channel is to find opportunities before Wall Street does and provide perspective that you won't find anywhere else. In exchange for today's video, hit the like button for the YouTube algorithm. Also, if you're on a mobile device, hit the three lines next to the like button, three dots, and hit the hype button as well. That'll push this video out to more people that need to see it. Okay, guys, so I'm not going to sugarcoat it for you. Let's just jump into this. I don't know what Trump's going to do. I don't know if Trump is going to prevent a correction or not. April 2nd of 2025, Trump came out and shocked everyone. And the stock market fell 20%. We knew that Trump would U-turn eventually, but a lot of people thought, "Okay, Trump's not going to crash the markets." Like, that was a tail risk event that actually happened. Well, now we are 9 days away from the next Fed meeting on September 16th. We're pricing in about a 60% chance of a rate hike on Friday. Treasury yields are going to move higher tomorrow morning. Oil is already up about 2% sitting at over $93 per barrel heading into tomorrow. The stock market is going to come under some pressure from that. The probability of a Fed hike is going to rise. If Trump does nothing, if the war with Iran, in other words, does not end, or there is no ceasefire or intermittent deal to open the Strait of Hormuz, stocks are going to have a problem on their hands. Even if we get a better-than-expected CPI report, because in the event we get a better-than-expected CPI report, if the Iran war is still going on and oil's still moving higher, you're probably going to be sitting at about a 50/50 probability of a rate hike on September 16th. But, even if we don't get a rate hike on September 16th, if the war with Iran continues and the same old same old, oil continues to move higher, you're just going to price in a rate hike at the next Fed meeting until the conflict ends. And look, I don't make the rules. If I was the Fed right now, I would be completely disregarding the oil shock that we are currently in. But, that's not how things work. I understand they shouldn't be raising rates because oil is moving higher, and maybe they don't, right? It's a new Fed chair, maybe they don't do that. But, history would suggest when the markets are pressuring the Fed to hike rates, oil shock, supply chain issues or not, the Fed is going to listen. Because the last time the Fed did not listen to the markets was back in 2018 in September. And well, stocks proceeded to fall about 20% over the 3 months after Jerome Powell basically said, "Quote, we are nowhere close to neutral." The markets were expecting the tightening cycle to be ending. And Jerome Powell completely threw off the markets and you crashed, right? Either way, it's never a good thing to surprise investors. And unfortunately, heading into this Fed meeting, there's a good chunk of markets that are going to be surprised. The question is, is it going to be a positive surprise or a negative surprise? And honestly, I can't tell you that. I have no idea. Like, logically, my logical brain, like you guys are are also probably logical individuals, I'm putting myself in Trump's shoes, right? I'm looking at betting markets, like Cal chain polymarket that are pricing in a Democratic sweep of the House and Senate. If I was Trump, there's one thing that I can do. I can lower oil prices. I can prevent a Fed rate hike. I can keep the stock market from crashing, all by ending the war with Iran or simply walking away from the conflict. Now, is Trump going to do that? Or is Trump going to take it to the edge? I don't know. Is Trump going to declare the the war over tomorrow? Or ahead of the CPI report or the day before the Fed meeting? I have no idea. But, let's assume that most people, the markets, you guys, nobody thinks the war is going to end anytime soon. Let's assume it does not end. If the war with Iran does not end, you most likely have a correction in September. Because you most likely get a rate hike. That is the probability. And if you're on team forever war, you should be preparing for a correction right now. Now, I do think we are going to be heading into one of the strongest stock markets we have ever experienced in 2027. There's a lot of historical precedents for this and to be honest, we have a very strong backdrop, right? AI, it's stable, it's it's alive and well. AI adoption's going to continue to grow. The consumer is pretty stable overall. Economy's not doing a whole lot of anything, but margins are improving. Productivity is improving and corporate earnings are strong, even excluding AI hardware stocks, the S&P is still growing earnings at 12% year-over-year. That's a very strong number. If you include the AI trade, earnings are growing at 25% year-over-year. So, either which way you want to cut the cookie, the cookie still looks pretty good. Now, again, we do have our big catalyst, which is CPI on Friday and we'll get to that in just a moment, but the point that I'm trying to hammer hammer home here is even if we get a better than expected CPI report, it's simply going to kick the can down the down the road. It's not going to altogether prevent a Fed hike if the war with Iran continues and the or the oil shortage continues to grow and oil prices continue to rise. And that's the bigger problem. Now, what CPI tells us, what we get from that, will obviously determine whether or not we get a hike on September 16th, but you really need to see like a much lower than expected CPI number on Friday to prevent a hike at this point, especially with oil again going up to $93 a barrel here as we head into tomorrow. Now, tomorrow for your trading day, you really don't have much in terms of economic data. We'll see what we get from your headline news or Trump or Besson or Kevin Hassett or whatnot. But, um nothing on the calendar for tomorrow. On Tuesday, you have uh the NFIB business optimism index expecting that to fall a little bit. The ADP employment change, uh we don't have an estimate for that, but numbers have been pretty low recently. Wall Street, they want to see another low number. You have used car prices month over month and year over year, some bond auctions, but that's pretty much it. On Wednesday, you have the Red Book year over year, you have a 10-year bond auction, but that is it. So, Tuesday, um between Monday and Wednesday, Tuesday's actually the biggest day for economic data. On Thursday, you have PPI month over month. You're expecting a big jump there. Again, oil prices went up a lot in August alone. Last month's PPI headline number was 0%. You're expecting 0.4% and core PPI is expected to rise from 0.2% PPI is producer price index, CPI is consumer price index. A lot of people think, in theory, PPI would go up and then CPI would go up. So, depending on what PPI looks like on Thursday, that could drive expectations for CPI on Friday. You also have initial jobless claims expecting about 205,000. Again, you want to see a high number there. That would be good, but again, with PPI coming out on the same day, that's probably the biggest catalyst. On Thursday, you also have the ECB press conference and interest rate decision. The ECB is expected to raise rates to about 2 and 1/2% for the uh facility rate, and the interest rate decision, they're expected to rise from about 2.4% to 2.65%. On Thursday, you also get existing home sales for August and your month over month numbers. And then again, on Friday, you have your big data here with core CPI month over month. you're expecting a pretty stable number. The same as last month, around 0.2%. Again, as I've said before on this channel though, it doesn't come in at a round number. So, 0.2% is the rounded number. You could come in at 0.15% times that by 12 and that's 1.8% like annualized inflation. But, you could also get a number of like 0.24 * 12 and that's an uh woah Oh, definitely did not do that right. Uh times 12 and that's an annualized rate of about 2.88%. So, you know, both numbers I don't think that it's that much of an issue, right? Personally, because uh we are in a higher growth environment. We do have an oil shock that is affecting these numbers, whether or not you want to strip out oil, there's you can't strip out these diapers or >> [laughter] >> the shipping cost, right? The manufacturing cost of higher oil. So, you know, my opinion's my opinion. I don't think the Fed should be reacting to this, but depending on where the decimal point comes in, it's really going to make all the difference to whether or not we get a Fed hike or not. This is going to be kind of the final move ahead of the Fed meeting. After this Friday, September 11th, I mean, the Fed meeting is the following Wednesday. The only other thing that could save the markets from not having a hike would be the war with Iran ending. And I know a lot of people are like, yeah, that's a forever war, like that's never going to end. If you're in that camp, all eyes are on CPI. And to be honest, like I think CPI is going to come in on the lower side, but I don't think it's going to be low enough to not price in a hike. I mean, with oil moving higher and likely to continue to move higher from here, I mean, according to futures, oil is $92.56 per barrel heading into tomorrow. It's going to be pretty damn hard to avoid a hike on September 16th if the war with Iran does not end. Not impossible, right? If we get a really low CPI report, you're you're not going to get a hike, but if it's in line or slightly, you know, slightly on the weaker side, you're probably still going to price in a hike. So, very uh contentious uh day coming on Friday, that's for sure. Um core year-over-year expected to be at about 2.4% actually a decline from last month's 2.5%. Um inflation headline month-over- month over month expected to rise from 0.1% last month to 0.4% and headline inflation year-over-year expected to hold steady at 3.4%. You will also get the Michigan consumer sentiment survey for September, expecting that to come in at 51, which is actually lower than uh the prior month. Five-year inflation expectations expected to come in at 3.2%. Last month you were at 3.3%. Consumer expectations expected to go up a little bit to 51.7. Current conditions expected to fall from 51.9 to 51 and one-year inflation expectations expected to fall from 4% down to 3.9%. Well, personally, you know, I I I just don't have a clear reading on this, right? Like after April 2nd in 2025, that was Liberation Day. I I'll forever remember the day because it was going to be April 1st and that's my birthday and Trump said April Fools' Day was not a good day to do something like that, so he did it the day after, April 2nd, 2025. Um started a 20% crash in the markets and it was pretty easy at that time once the markets were down 10, 15, 20%, which happened pretty quickly, to say, "Yep, Trump's going to U-turn on this, right? Um but where we are right now, it's very difficult to say um what is going to happen. >> [sighs] >> So, you want to have your shopping list ready. You want to be ready in case we do go through a crash or a correction because we don't know what Trump's going to do. Trump is willing to watch the markets crash if need be. We already seen that before. He will U-turn once the markets crash. Um but until then, it's kind of a coin toss. Your opinion is no better than the next guy's on this, okay? Um your opinion's no better uh on the war with Iran than than the next guy. Hey, the war with Iran might be a forever war. It might end tomorrow. Nobody knows. Again, nobody's opinion is better than than the next guy on this um stance because Trump is going to do what he wants, right? So, here's my shopping list. I kind of have a core shopping list and then I have other areas that are more interesting as well than than other areas, but I'm not going to be as fast to buy the dip in those areas. Stock number one, Zebra Technologies, bringing AI to the real world in real time. Uh forward PE multiple, you know, like 16, but I really like to look at PEG ratios of 0.5. Dirt cheap, a company that's a big AI winner. Apple 11, forward PE of about 16, forward PEG ratio of 0.3 to 0.6, probably closer to 0.3. The stock is systemically undervalued, right? Um easy easy buy. UiPath, excluding the drop on Friday, had a forward PE multiple of about 21 and a PEG ratio of about 0.65 to 0.95. People are wrong on UiPath because like enterprises, they're not at a position where they can actually adopt AI agents. That is actually going to pick up really in the second half of next year over the preceding couple of years following that. So, I think we're just early to UiPath and while a lot of people are like, "Oh my gosh, Anthropic's seeing these great, you know, growth numbers or or whatnot." Um It's it it's a different market opportunity per se. UiPath is one of the later winners from enterprise AI adoption because UiPath actually benefits from the adoption, not the experimentation or compute usage. Um so, a very interesting one there. I do think looks attractive at $14, I'd be more interested at like the $12 area to the $10 area. AppLovin at whatever it is, like $3.05 is very interesting at $300, but if if it falls like $200 crazy opportunity. Zebra Technologies interesting where it is today in the 350 range, but if it falls into the low 300s, that gets even more interesting to me. Rubric in the low 90s, very interesting. I'll be a heavier buyer of this one in the 70s if we do get a correction, that's where the stock's going to be headed, right? Um Tesla very interesting in the 350s. If the thing falls to the low 300s or the 250 area, that is an easy buy. Other stocks I like, Palantir, Reddit, Bloomin' Brands. Look at that Bloomin' Brands PE at six, right? I think eventually the consumer will recover. I think restaurants are not going away. Bloomin' Brands, they own four restaurant chains, but their flagship one is Outback Steakhouse. I don't think that's going away. I don't think steaks are going away anytime soon. They have a six forward PE multiple. It's a recovery story. Royal Caribbean pays you about a 2.5% dividend per year, 13 X PE, 34% payout ratio. They're going to be raising the dividend for years with a PEG ratio of one. Very attractive to me in the 250s, 260s. Uber 17 times forward PE. They're going to be around. Tesla and Uber are going to partner on robo-taxi autonomous rides at some point down the line, right? Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Uber is going to do just fine. Sweetgreen high risk high reward very low valuation stock again a turnaround story. The parasite did not help Sweetgreen whatsoever. So that's kind of my core shopping list. Within financials, I like Wells Fargo, Robinhood SoFi Fiserv Veru Lemonade Oscar, and regional banks. I will be looking at some of those if the markets do fall as well. Las Vegas Sands, Airbnb Hilton Celsius Norwegian Cruise Line, and if Elf comes down as well, those are others that I will be looking at. Again, within your AI software trade, again, I like Reddit, Pegasystems, even Backblaze and Datadog, Snowflake, HubSpot MongoDB Zscaler ServiceNow. These are other stocks. I have my eyes on them. And if they come down a lot, I will be taking some positions in them. Again, that's my personal shopping list because I think over the next 12 months, what's going to do the best are robotics, automation, AI software, and cybersecurity. I think the day and age of everyone focusing on the AI hardware buildout is rapidly coming to an end. I think we are now entering a phase where the companies that apply AI, that grow their business, that sell AI products and services are going to be the the stocks that are most rewarded, right? I think we're transitioning from everyone focusing on hardware to people will begin to focus on the long-term AI winners. And a lot of those are robotics and automation companies and AI software and cybersecurity stocks. Again, I also like playing for a stronger consumer at some point as inflation comes down, eventually the war with Iran ends, and gasoline prices come down, and mortgage rates become more appropriate, you will see the consumer pick up, and some of those cyclicals, those travel names, will do a lot better. I don't know if that happens in 2027 or if that's more of a 2028 through 2030 kind of thing, but I I do think they offer attractive risk reward um kind of setups here as oil is high, and if oil does come down, it does come down, those are going to be some of the stocks that benefit the most even in the near term. But, that is my shopping list, ladies and gentlemen. Let me know what stocks you are looking at adding to here over the next couple of weeks if we do have a correction. After all, do you think we're going to have a correction, right? This is a very contentious uh topic. If we did have a larger pullback here, I would be targeting the 200-day moving average on the triple Qs, which would be downside from here because we're already down like 4 to 5% for the index already. That would be another 8% downside or so from peak to trough decline. That would be a decline of about 12%. You already fell about 11 and 1/2% from early June through late July. So, you already had a correction. I don't think you have to have a correction if the war with Iran ends, most of our problems get solved basically overnight. But, I don't know if that's going to happen. So, I think you want to prepare for both outcomes here. You want to stay invested, and you want to put together your shopping list right now. Also, I do think, you know, areas like the index, if we did fall like 10, 15, 20% could also look attractive. Potentially, the problem with just buying the index is at this point like the Nasdaq or the S&P is they're so heavily weighted to the hardware trade. If If I'm correct in over the next couple of years, that kind of slows down until robotics really picks up. Um hardware stocks are going to be a big drag on the markets. Now, again, that works to the other other side as well. If hardware stocks do really well over the next couple of years, that's going to help propel the markets higher. I just don't think hardware stocks are going to lead the markets, and thus you probably have much better risk reward uh potential with single stocks. Although single stocks do bring on more risk, and keep in mind, none of this is a recommendation. I am not a financial advisor, come to your own conclusions. I could be wrong with what I'm saying in this video. After all, we don't know what Trump is going to do. Don't be a jackass. This is not a solicitation for you to make an investment decision. Yes, I'm up a lot year-to-date. Yes, I do put my money behind the words that I speak here. I am actively, you know, doing what I'm preaching but I I could be wrong, right? I make highly concentrated, large conviction investments, especially when the markets crash. When the markets crash, I love it. I'm secretly rooting for a correction. I know that sucks because people are going to lose money, people are going to panic, but for again, if you're a viewer of this channel, and you're a part of the trading community, you are likely rooting for a correction because we're going to take full advantage of that, and we're going to make even more money. So, very uh tough situation right now if you're trying to figure out what the markets are going to do next, but generally, don't put all your chips in one basket. Do not use options right now or excessive leverage, and have a shopping list ready in case we do have a broader correction. So, let me know your thoughts on this down below in the comments section.
