With Tesla's Cyber Cab event last week, robo taxis are once again on the top of investors minds. And a lot of investors still think that Tesla is going to win that market. But with a market cap over $1 trillion, it's clear the market's already pricing in Tesla being the ultimate leader in autonomous vehicles. But that may not be the case. There are more than a dozen companies around the world that are building and testing autonomous vehicles today. Some of them have even launched commercially, not just Whimo, but there are other players as well. So, I'm here with five stocks with high potential to be major players in autonomous vehicles in the future. These are companies that you may not even know you're already interacting with on a day-to-day basis. The first one I want to start with is Mobile Eye. Mobile Eye is the leader in autonomous technology on vehicles today. Level one and low-end level two autonomous technology that you may have in your vehicles. This is the smart cruise, smart follow, lane assist. These products have essentially become industry standard and Mobile is the leader providing the chips and software for about 30 million vehicles annually. The company generates about $2 billion a year in revenue and generated $388 million in free cash flow over the past year. So this is a leader in the industry but being very overlooked by investors today. But there's reason to think that Mobilei may play a big role in the autonomous future. They they [clears throat] have relationships with some of the biggest automakers in the world, mainly Volkswagen, who is the largest automaker. Their biggest partnership is with Volkswagen, but they re also recently signed a deal with one of the biggest automakers in the US. They have billions of dollars worth of backlog and visibility, not only moving those companies up to level two and level three autonomy, but also building level four autonomous vehicles themselves through a partnership with Moya, a a subsidiary of Volkswagen. And this is a company that is testing vehicles in Austin, Texas, just like Tesla is doing with the Cyber Cap. But unlike the CyberCap, this is multi-ensor. So there are levels of redundancy. And Mobile is doing similar testing in Europe as well. Now the advantage for Mobilei is they're hooked into all of these OEMs already. They don't have to build these vehicles themselves. Although they are potentially testing that for early robo taxis where they're going to design the vehicle and actually launch it themselves to basically push the industry forward similar to what Tesla did except they already have those relationships to be a modular supplier as robo taxis begin to scale. So think about if you're a company like Ford or Stalantis, you're interested in autonomous vehicles. You don't have the technology built yourself. Who do you go to get that technology off the shelf? Mobile is already a trusted supplier. I think they're going to play a much bigger role in the future of autonomous vehicle than a lot of people think because they're behind the scenes and they're working with the big established players. These are companies that you don't want to overlook. And the opportunity for Mobileey is to go from a system that only costs about $50 per vehicle to potentially thousands of dollars per vehicle. And in robo taxis, they could be taking a cut of every single ride that's done with mobile technology. Along those same lines, Nvidia is the technology, chip, and training solution that a lot of these companies are going to be using, not only now, but in the future as well. They're partnering with a bunch of these autonomous vehicle companies to help them improve their models and pull in all of the information that's coming from Vision Systems, from LAR, and from Radar to make sure that these autonomous vehicles are driving safely. I'm going to get to one of the companies that's using their technology in a moment, but this is going to be one of the tailwinds for Nvidia. No matter what happens with the rest of the artificial in intelligence industry, for example, they've created NVIDIA drive. These are models, SDKs, and tools that autonomous vehicle developers can use. So again, giving the OEMs the tools they need to be able to build autonomous vehicles and scale them all over the world. Nvidia not only has partnerships with legacy automakers like Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, and Jaguar, they're also working with specific autonomous vehicle companies and the companies that are going to be launching this technology. companies like Zuks, Uber, Lyft, and Grab. So, they have multiple ways to win in autonomous vehicles. And one of those customers that's using NVIDIA chips is Wide. Here again is another technology company that is actually doing the work to get autonomous vehicles on the road today. This is a Chinese-based company, but they have international expansion plans, and they're executing on that in the Middle East, Europe, and other parts of Southeast Asia as well. The company grew revenue nearly 100% in the most recent quarter to $34.1 million. And as we see these vehicles start to scale around the world, this could be one of the companies that's not only benefiting from the technology, but also from deploying those vehicles themselves. And speaking of deployment, the final two stocks that I want to talk about have a very similar business model. And autonomous vehicles could 10x the opportunity that they have ahead. The first is Uber. And the way to think about Uber is the aggregator of demand for rides and autonomous vehicles. So whether you're looking for a ride for yourself, if you want some food delivered, or you're ordering from a store, Uber is going to be the app that people choose more and more to get more services done. And if autonomous vehicles and robotics are going to be able to proide that supply and that delivery mechanism, that's going to be a benefit for Uber. It's because they're pulling all that demand together in one place. And suppliers are going to flock to that. They have partnerships with about a dozen autonomous vehicle suppliers. And that's because every one of those suppliers is looking at, hey, we're going to deploy these vehicles, but how are we going to actually find demand in the market? If you're Whimo and you're the early mover, maybe you're able to build your own app and your own network yourself. If you have a name like Tesla, maybe you can do the same. But if you're a smaller company or if you want to focus on manufacturing, for example, if you're Moya under Volkswagen and working with Mobilei or if you're BU or if you're Wave, you're saying we're able to do this technology, but we don't want to actually run an app, own vehicles ourselves. We're going to put that on somebody else. Uber is the network that is going to be able to bring that demand to market and actually make those vehicles profitable once they're actually on the road. The other company that can do that is Lyft. Lyft is a smaller company, much small much smaller than Uber. But the advantage that Lyft has is they can actually burn the boats and their stock is trading for such a value right now that one of these autonomous vehicle companies could simply acquire them and have their own internal demand. Market cap currently about $6 billion. If you think about a company like Whimo or Zuks or BU, they could simply acquire Lyft and have a built-in demand source for their autonomous vehicles. So, look, autonomous vehicles are here. They are here today with Whimo. Tesla is going to be scaling them over the next couple of years. And there are more than a dozen other companies, both OEMs and technology companies that are advancing this technology. I think that's only going to accelerate with with sensors getting better and with artificial intelligence making it easier to process all of these inputs. I think these vehicles could be not only safer, but scale faster than any technology that we've seen on this scale. So, if you're interested in autonomous vehicles, those are five ideas outside of owning Tesla, the perceived leader in the market that may actually have a lot more competition that you think.
