In James Altucher's latest presentation, he says one little-known stock is about to be bought out by Elon Musk. And that could potentially produce gains as high as 5,340% in just 6 days. The problem? Altucher won't reveal the stock unless you pay him an insane $2,000. However, I sat down and watched his 75-minute presentation and was able to figure out the stock based on the clues in the presentation. In this video, I'm going to reveal it completely free. But before we do anything, let's look at James's recent track record to see if he's worth listening to, and lucky for us, there's a lot of stocks to look at. A couple years ago, he recommended Co-Diagnostics, and it's done well and nearly doubled. He also recommended Penguin Solutions, which was even better, gaining close to 200%. Then there was Criteo Technology, a stock I actually bought based on this recommendation. That one absolutely exploded, climbing roughly 470%. Innodata was another monster winner and gained more than 300%. My Tech System also worked, more than doubling. But then the misses start showing up. Nano-X Imaging got crushed and lost 90%. Nano Dimension fell around 30%, and Bit Digital dropped nearly 50%. Then Altucher bounced back with STMicroelectronics, which nearly doubled. Dell Technologies was one of his biggest winners, climbing more than 400%. Marvell Technology also worked out extremely well and gained 150%. BTQ Technologies was much less exciting, and it's basically gone nowhere. Then in early 2026, Lumentum became another major winner, more than doubling. And finally, AST SpaceMobile moved the other way, and it's down 20%. So Altucher's record has been all over the place. He's had several stocks absolutely explode, but he's also had some brutal losses. But overall, I'd say his good stocks have outweighed his bad stocks. Now, let's quickly go through the presentation and figure out the stock. James Altucher says Elon Musk may be on the verge of making a massive acquisition. And one small group of investors could potentially profit if he's right. His thesis starts with Tesla's Cybertruck. Altucher says Tesla eventually wants to produce around 1 million Cybertrucks a year, but there's a major bottleneck standing in their way, refined lithium. Tesla is already building its own lithium refinery, but according to Altucher, it still won't produce anywhere near enough to meet that future demand. And that's where his mystery company comes in. It's one of the few American companies capable of refining the lithium Tesla needs. It already has ties to Tesla and has received hundreds of millions of dollars in support from the US government. But Altucher's biggest piece of evidence is what he calls a blue spike, unusual market activity his AI system claims has appeared before major corporate events. Points to companies like HashiCorp, Maxar, Slack, and MP Materials as examples where similar signals appeared before four huge announcements. Now, I've covered about 10 of these blue spike presentations from James already. In that time, I think he correctly predicted two stocks that either got bought out or were infused with government cash. So, I would take this blue spike algorithm that he's touting with a grain of salt. And now, James says this same blue spike signal has appeared on this lithium company, leading him to believe Elon Musk could be preparing to buy it. Now, here are the specific clues James leaves us for the stock. First, it's an American lithium company, not just a miner. Altucher specifically says this company can refine lithium into battery-grade material Tesla needs for products like the Cybertruck. That narrows the field pretty considerably. But the next clue is even more specific. According to Altucher, outside of Tesla itself, there's only one other American-owned company capable of supplying this refined lithium at scale. And he says Tesla already knows this company very well because it has reportedly been selling lithium to Tesla for years. Then there's a government connection. Altucher says this company received around $240 million combined from the Department of Defense and Department of Energy to help expand America's domestic lithium supply chain. And finally, there's the age of the business. This isn't some lithium startup created during the EV boom. Altucher describes it as a company with roughly 130 years of history. So put all the clues together, we're looking for a century-old American company, one of the country's major lithium refiners, backed by roughly $240 million from the US government, and now, according to Altucher, showing unusual market activity that could point to a major announcement. And there is only one company that fits this description. I'm going to reveal the stock in 15 seconds, but before I do, I want to tell you about my free report on the top 10 stocks to buy and hold right now. These are companies I believe have the best mix of strong long-term potential and growth. When you're done watching, click the link in the description, enter your email, and I'll send it right to your inbox. The stock being pitched here is Albemarle, ticker ALB. Make sure to drop a like if you appreciate me saving you $2,000 by revealing the stock completely free. However, figuring out the stock is the easy part. Now we have to figure out whether or not the stock is actually buy and whether or not it can actually gain 5,000% like James says. To do that, we're going to first start with what this company actually does, and then after I'm going to give you my actual rating on the stock. At its core, Albemarle is one of the world's major lithium producers. The company mines lithium resources and then processes them into products like lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide, exactly the battery grade materials used in electric vehicles and energy storage. And lithium is clearly the most important part of this business. In the second quarter, Albemarle's energy storage division generated about 1.28 billion in revenue, accounting for the large majority of the company's sales. But, here's a reality check on what James was saying. This isn't some tiny undiscovered Tesla supplier that desperately needs Elon Musk to change its future. Albemarle's already an enormous global lithium company, and its results are driven much more by the price of lithium than by any single customer. You can see that in the numbers. Lithium prices improved significantly this year, and Albemarle's second quarter revenue jumped 31% to 1.74 billion, while adjusted EBITDA climbed to 858 million, and net income reached 480 million. Its balance sheet also looks reasonably strong with about 1.6 billion in cash against 1.9 billion in total debt as of the end of June. And at around $98 per share, Albemarle is currently worth roughly 11.6 billion dollars. So, this is not really just like an obscure company that Elon Musk just discovered. It's a bet on one of America's most important lithium companies at a time when its profits are beginning to recover. And that leaves us with the real question. Is Albemarle attractive enough to buy on its own today, or does Al Tutor's takeover story make the stock seem more exciting than it actually is? All right, let's head into my final verdict now. Let's start with Al Tutor's biggest claim. He shows potential gains of 2,000, 4,000, and even over 5,000% gains in just 6 days. But, there's an important distinction here. He is not saying Albemarle stock itself is likely to rise 5,000% in 6 days. Those kind of returns require a highly leveraged option trade where you're essentially betting not only that something big happens, but that it happens very quickly. For most investors, I think this is a horrible way to approach this. Because with short-dated options, you can actually be right about the company and still lose your entire investment. Maybe Tesla eventually does something with Albemarle, but it happens 3 months after your option expires. Maybe lithium prices rise, but not fast enough. Or maybe the stock simply moves sideways for a few weeks. Time decay alone can destroy the trade. So rather than trying to predict whether Elon Musk announces something 6 days from now, I think the much more useful question is whether Albemarle makes sense as a long-term investment. And there is a legitimate case here. Albemarle is one of the largest lithium producers in the world with major resources, established processing infrastructure, and relationships that would be extremely difficult for a new competitor to recreate. More importantly, the lithium market has improved dramatically. Lithium prices spent several years collapsing under the weight of too much supply, but they rebounded sharply in 2026 as demand from electric vehicles and especially large-scale battery storage accelerated. That recovery is already directly flowing into Albemarle's numbers. Second quarter revenue increased 31% to about 1.7 billion, while adjusted EBITDA increased 155% to 858 million. Its energy storage business alone produced about 723 million of adjusted EBITDA, up more than 200% the year before. And there might be a second demand engine emerging that has nothing to do with Tesla. Battery storage for the electric grid and data centers is becoming a much larger consumer of lithium. Reuters reported earlier this year that energy storage could represent 31% of total lithium demand in 2026. And more recent industry data continues to show storage demand running stronger than many analysts originally expected. So I can see why investors are getting excited again, especially because the stock has already been punished. Albemarle recently traded around $98, more than 55% below its May 52-week high of $221. That makes the risk-reward considerably more attractive to than it was near the highs. But, the reason I'm not going to get extremely aggressive here comes down to the lithium market itself. Lithium is still a commodity. And commodity markets have a nasty habit of fixing their own shortages. Higher prices encourage mines to restart. They encourage new projects to get financed. They encourage existing producers to expand. And eventually, all of that new supply can push prices back down. We've already seen this movie. Lithium prices collapsed by more than 90% from their previous boom because supply expanded faster than demand. And even during this year's recovery, some of the price increase came from temporary supply disruptions, including mine shutdowns and export restrictions. As those mines return and inventories rebuild, analysts have warned that the market could move back towards surplus. That matters enormously for Albemarle because its earnings are extremely sensitive to lithium prices. The company's own projections show how dramatic the differences can be. At roughly $10 per kilogram of lithium carbonate equivalent, Albemarle estimates its energy storage business could generate around 700 to 8 million of EBITDA. At roughly $20, that jumps to 2 billion. At around 30, it approaches 4 billion. This is an enormous range. If you buy Albemarle, you're not simply betting that people need more lithium 10 years from now. I think that's almost certainly true. You're also betting the supply doesn't grow so quickly that lithium prices collapse again before Albemarle can fully benefit. For this thesis to really work, I'd want to see battery storage continue becoming a major source of demand. EV growth remain healthy. Lithium prices stabilize somewhere that shows Albemarle to generate strong cash flow. And management remain disciplined instead of spending aggressively every time lithium prices rise. And most importantly, none of this requires Elon Musk to buy the company. If Tesla eventually makes an offer, that would obviously be a major additional catalyst, but I wouldn't make that the investment thesis. At roughly half the price investors were willing to pay just a few months ago, Albemarle has become much more interesting to me, and I think it's a moderate buy. I'm just not comfortable treating the lithium recovery as a straight line yet, which prevents a strong buy rating. There's enough here that I'd be willing to own this stock, but with lithium supply capable of responding very quickly to higher prices, I wouldn't be willing to chase it or make it an oversized position.
