Most investors think set it and forget it stocks means the same big boring names everybody already owns, right? Coke, Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson and the like, right? But here's the problem. A great company is not always a great stock to buy right now. Some of those classic forever stocks are very expensive, growing slowly, or simply just not great investments anymore. So, I scanned the market looking for something better for long-term investors. Gladly, I found five stocks perfect to buy, hold, and more or less forget about heading into 2027. We are talking about five companies with attractive growth, dependable earnings, strong balance sheets, and prices that still leave room for ample upside potential. One has beaten earnings estimates for nearly 20 quarters in a row. Another is a blue chip trading at a truly bargain-basement price. And my final pick is growing earnings at about 65% a year. Yeah, not a typo. That shows no signs of slowing. These are not necessarily the stocks everyone else already owns right now, but they may be the ones that you wish you owned sooner rather than later. We will start with Hemanetics with the symbol of HAE. About as boring as it gets on the surface, but as beautiful it gets under the hood for investors. So, before we get too far along with the Hemanetics story, let me introduce myself. I'm Steve Wrightmeister, but everyone calls me Righty. I'm a partner at Wall Street Zen, where our quant rating system analyzes a wide array of data to find the best opportunities for investors. All right, quick favor. If you enjoy stock-picking videos like these, then tap that like button. It tells the algorithm to show you more content like this in the future, right? Back to the bull case for Hemanetics, right? They are the quiet backbone of the blood and plasma business, right? They make the machines and software hospitals and donation centers rely upon, right? It's unglamorous, but truly essential with great recurring revenue. The kind of business that does not stop when the economy wobbles, right? The reason why it's in a set it and forget it video like this one is because plasma demand keeps rising, and Hemanetics sells the gear every new donation center needs. This explains why Wall Street experts see earnings climbing close to 50% a year going forward, right? Not so boring after all. And they are likely to hit that 50% growth estimate because they have turned out 19 quarterly beats in a row, nearly 5 years without a single miss. So, growth is certainly nice, but growth plus value is much, much nicer. And that value part is on full display with their modest PEG ratio of just 1.1, about a third less than the average stock and exceptionally low for a healthcare company. Wall Street is singing their praises with seven analysts issuing buy or strong buy recommendations. That's because they see more good times ahead for these shares. Now, let's see what our Zacks Rank Quant Model has to say. Now, it scores every stock across 115 fundamental, technical, and AI factors and then boils it all down to an intuitive letter grade of A to F. Plus, you also gain access to seven additional component grades that flags each stock's strengths and weaknesses. Now, Heamonetics earns an A rating, which amounts to a strong buy recommendation. That's because they score in the top 2% of the roughly 4,600 stocks we track. Yes, we mean it has a better investment profile than 98% of the stocks that we reviewed. The uh component grades are also stacked in their favor starting with sentiment in the top 20% of all stocks. Momentum is a notch better in the top 19% as we come on down the the list. Financial strength, top 17%. Value, top 16%. Growth, top 9%. And the standout grade is safety in the top 8% of all stocks. Now, for a buy and forget stock, these are exactly the kind of top grades you want. One risk to consider that a big slice of Heamonetics plasma business runs through a just a handful of large customers. So, if any of them sever ties with the firm, it would certainly would be harmful to the shares. But, plasma demand keeps growing. That trend is their friend, explaining 19 straight earnings beats. Then, layer on top the ample Wall Street support and the sparkling Zacks Rank profile, and you have the perfect stock to kick off our video today. Before I get to the next stock, here's something that might interest you. I put together a list of three stocks that I believe could double in the coming year. I located them using the same Zen Rating model I used to review the stocks in this video. So, you can get those three tickers for free just by visiting wallstreetzen.com/double or scan the QR code on your screen or click the link in the description below. But, make sure you get your copy now. All right, our next pick is a blue-chip stock that somehow has a blue light special discounted price. I'm talking about pharma giant Bristol Myers Squibb with the symbol of BMY. Now, let me tell you about the sale. The market has spent two years fixated on Bristol's patent cliff, meaning the expiring patents on some of their key drugs. And yeah, that's a fair concern. But, while everyone's staring at what's rolling off, they stop watching what's coming on board. Meaning, they have a bulging product pipeline with more than 10 new medicines and over 30 launches planned by 2030. This myopic view on BMY explains why shares are truly dirt cheap right now. To be specific, we are talking about a paltry forward PE of only nine, about half the average PE of the average stock these days and is super low for a healthcare company once again. Bristol has also quietly beaten Wall Street earnings estimates for 12 quarters in a row. The market keeps underestimating this company, yet the results keep saying otherwise. Now, on the analyst side, Wall Street is split, just what you would expect on a name too many have written off. But, the most bullish voice is worth hearing out. I'm talking about David Anselam of at Piper Sandler. He ranks in the top 4% of all Wall Street analysts based on his actual stock pick performance, meaning he knows a thing or two about picking good stocks. Gladly, this proven stock picker sees shares at least 40% higher in the year ahead. Not so bad for a buy and hold pick, right? Indeed, we have another elite A-rated stock. Bristol earns an A because they score in the top 1% of all stocks in our Zen Rating model. Perhaps calling them an A+ would be more accurate given that top 1% showing. The component grades are as similarly impressive with a top 10 showings for sentiment, momentum, safety, and our AI factor, which is our timeliness score. If that weren't good enough, then we close out with a top 6% showing for financial strength, and yes, top 1% all stocks for value. This is not just about the low PE that we talked about. This is based upon 21 different value measures, right? About as cheap as a blue chip gets. The one real knock is the same one on the whole market is chewing on. Growth is Bristol-Myers Squibb because of the patent cliff on its older blockbusters. That should accelerate going forward, right? Blue chips don't go on sale often, and yet here is the opportunity knocking. And here comes the cherry on top. How about a juicy 4% dividend yield that they have raised for 17 years in a row? That sounds like a great prescription for your portfolio. Quick ask before we move on, if you are getting value from this video, then go ahead and hit subscribe. I publish data-driven stock analysis like this every single week. And that is the best way to ensure you don't miss any of my next videos. Okay, let's get back to our buy and hold stocks. This next company has a similar name to our last one, but that's about the only thing they have in common. That brings us to our third pick in Myers Industries. No, not Bristol-Myers, Myers Industries with the symbol MYE. This is a small Ohio company that makes the essential stuff that keeps commerce moving. Reusable containers, pallets, and bins for dealers, retailers, and manufacturers. Yet, they do a great job of converting a boring business into sticky profitability, right? Their secret sauce for expanding margins is bolting on strategic acquisitions and squeezing out the excess cost. This has led to a healthy string of beaten raised earnings reports. Gladly, the good times appear far from over as Wall Street predicts 45% earnings growth in the year ahead. Yeah, here again, not so boring. Even better than the growth story is what you find in the value department. That's on full display with their low PEG ratio around 0.8 when the average stock trades for 1.5, literally half the valuation of the average stock these days. This is only a $1 billion uh dollar market cap company, so not surprised that Wall Street is mostly uh MIA when it comes to covering these shares. Honestly, I love this kind of hidden gem because as they keep banging out more earnings beats, then more analysts will start them as a new uh buy recommendation. Each one of those fresh calls will act as a catalyst to boost shares higher, all to the benefit of the early movers in share. Now, you know what I'm going to say next. Yes, the Zen rating seal of approval. That's because uh after the full 115 factor review, Myers scores in the top 1% of all stocks, leading to that coveted A rating. Oh, by the way, A-rated stocks have nearly tripled the S&P 500 over the past 20 years. So, that rating actually means something. As you would expect, the component grades are equally compelling, starting with the top 11% showing for momentum, pointing that these are timely shares. Safety is top 9%, financial strength uh the top 8% proving that they are very well-run organization. AI factor grade for timeliness is uh top 7%, value is top 6%, and the standout grade for this group is the top 3% showing for sentiment, which tells you the smart money is already on board these shares. Now, their main weakness is a bit more debt on the books than I would like. That comes from financing a lot of those acquisitions, but they just refinanced out to 2031 with plenty of cash flow to cover it all. Now, if this growth and value story appeals to you, then you should probably make your move now. That's because the smart money is already moving in, and thus the stellar buy and hold opportunity may not be as appealing for long. And by the way, it's a good time to remind you the Zen ratings are updated daily on wallstreetzen.com on our quote pages. And it's always a good idea to check those fresh ratings before making any buy, hold, or sell decision. So, be sure to bookmark this site now for all your future stock research needs. Okay, our next pick is another quiet workhorse, but this one is wired into one of the biggest spending waves of the decade. That brings us to stock number four, which is a fantastic picks and shovels play on electrification. We're talking about Littelfuse with the symbol LFUS. So, let me put it this way. If electricity flows through it, Littelfuse probably protects it. They make the circuit protection and the sensing components inside electric vehicles, data centers, factories, and the power grid. Yeah, just about everything these days. As the world electrifies, the amount of Littelfuse content inside every car, data center, and factory keeps climbing. And we can already see that in the results. Like the string of six straight quarterly earnings beats, the last one was so good that management up the guidance for the future. Right, so great conviction of what lies ahead. Wall Street coverage is light, but all three analysts on board see the same bullish setup leading to a buy recommendations with ample upside to a fair value projections. Right, at this stage, you know the drill. We have another A-rated stock on our hands. In this case, they score in the top 4% of all stocks based upon that 115 factor review. This points to a truly impressive investment profile. So, now we're going to pop that hood on the component grade starting with safety in the top 20%. Growth even better in the top 16%, which often foreshadows more earnings beats ahead. Sentiment scores in the top 14% of all stocks. Momentum is the top 11%, and finally, you've got financial strength in the top 9% pointing to a truly well-run company. Right, this is a well-run machine. The biggest negative here is the cyclicality of the industries it serves. Meaning, their chips and sensors ride the ups and downs of autos, industrials, and semiconductors. So, any major slowdown these areas would certainly cool things off for these shares. Now, however, the bullish case is a whole heck of a lot more compelling. That's because every one of those markets is currently on a multi-year electrification climb. And gladly, Littelfuse is wired into all of them. Right, this shows up in their earning streak and the Wall Street support and the stellar earnings profile. So, perhaps you should plug in Littelfuse uh into your portfolio for the years ahead. Now, before we get to that last stock, I have one quick thing for you. If you want to stay a step ahead of the pack, then join me live every Monday. That's because we send a replay to all registrants to watch whenever it's more convenient. Okay, as always, we like to end strong. So, I've saved the fastest-growing stock of the bunch for the final pick. And that brings us to Digi International with a symbol of DGII. They are global leader in the Internet of Things, the hardware that lets machines talk to each other. From cold storage to top trucks to hospital monitors to the factory floor, you name it, they're involved with it, right? You already know the world is getting more interconnected by the day, and Digi is right there in the middle of this dynamic trend. This explains their whopping 65% earnings growth expected in the year ahead, literally four times faster than the average company these days. Now, all right, you already know that. Growth rates like that are rare, but given their string of 18 straight earnings beats, then I wouldn't bet against this company hitting that impressive mark. Now, gladly, the market is a bit behind the curve on this growth story as can be seen on the value side equation. Now, the PEG ratio of 1.0 shines a light on the value play, about a third less than the average stock these days. Wall Street is pretty much asleep at the wheel on this stock. Just two analysts on the job, but both of them have strong buy recommendations. Again, I see that as a positive because 65% earnings growth does not grow on trees. As more analysts catch wind of what is going on here, the more strong buy recommendations are likely to be printed, each one of them acting as a catalyst for shares. Now, what Wall Street analysts are missing the Zen Rings model sees in the broad light of day. That leads to a top 1% showing after the full 115 factor review. Again, I would think it's better to call this an A+ rated stock. Now, the component grades spell out their strength starting with financials in the top 20% all stocks, followed by momentum in the top 12, and let's just keep rolling. Top 10% for growth pointing to more earnings beats ahead. Both safety and sentiment score in the top 7% all stock. Then we round it out with the AI factor grade in the top 5% all stock. Remember, this is our usage of AI to spot stocks more likely to outpace the market. Top 5% in that vital category. The risk here is that Digiti is only a $1 billion market cap tech company. That means its shares are likely to be a bit more volatile than your typical buy and hold blue chip pick, right? But how often do you find companies growing 65% a year? And how often do you find the stocks that have 18 straight earnings beats? And how often do you find a stock doing all these things and yet somehow trading for a discount, right? This explains why the Zen Rings model is so fond of this got stock. Scoring the top 1% of the 4,600 stocks it covers. Now is the time to consider whether it deserves a place in your portfolio as well, right? So there you have it. Five stocks built to set and forget it as we head into 2027. Not just impressive growth, but value, too. The classic combination that has been the hallmark of the best buy and hold stocks over the years. Now, I want to hear from you. Which of these five stocks is your favorite? And is there a set and forget it name you think I should cover in my future videos?
