$10,000 ETH by the end of the year. Uh what's your take on that? Do you think we're going to hit $10,000 by the end of 2026? >> You won't believe what Tom Lee just revealed about what happens to crypto next on CoinDesk Live today. He simply and clearly explains in less than four minutes why Ethereum's price is literally about to explode. in some ways like Ethereum and Salana and Avalanche and even Canton, they're all really working towards the same goal. It's not even close, right? Ethereum is probably close to 20 times the size of the next largest L1. We will compare his words to the current market data. And what I really love about this clip is that CoinDesk hosts Jen and Eleanor are not afraid to push back on Tom Lee and his point of view. Lee is forced to battle with these two titans in his attempt to try to convince the hosts and the viewership that Ethereum really is the best buy in not just crypto, all markets right now. >> I mean, I I'm not sure you framed it correctly. Ethereum hasn't lost any share. I don't know what you mean by they've lost share. In fact, I think they've gained share. >> In this clip, he explains his three big reasons. one why Ethereum's massive market share will continue >> if you look at all the projects whether it's JP Morgan or Black Rockck 99% are on Ethereum >> two why institutional allocations will keep rising >> many financial institutions are already giving uh explicit adi you know advisory recommended allocations and it's anywhere from 2 to 10%. Three, why digital asset treasuries are still loading up on ETH. >> I think the next 12 to 18 months, all of the DATs, not just Bitmine, are going to really ramp up their purchases of cryptos. >> So, in just 3 minutes and 55 seconds, this is the complete case for why in Q4 of 2026, you should still be an Ethereum buyer today. We'll talk about what happens next with Bitcoin and the overall crypto market in the short term right after this video clip. Do you think we're going to hit $10,000 by the end of 2026? >> I wouldn't be surprised. I think this is going to be one of the bigger crypto cycles. So, you know, I don't know if it means it'll happen four year end, but in the next 12 months, I think ETH will have much higher prices >> than 10,000. >> Talk to us about Ethereum maintaining its market share. what needs to happen for it to maintain its market share, remain competitive, and keep that first mover advantage that it's had. >> Uh, I mean, I'm not sure you framed it correctly because if you look at all the projects, whether it's JP Morgan or Black Rockck, 99% are on Ethereum. So, Ethereum hasn't lost any share. I don't know what you mean by they've lost share. In fact, I think they've gained share because if tokenization is the next wave, there's only one chain that's been dominant. >> Yeah. Yeah, and I just want to reframe that question. I mean, yes, Ethereum has the largest share, but the competitors are coming up behind it. You know, we're talking to different firms at conferences like this who are, you know, making their bet on a Salana or an avalanche. I guess the question is how does Ethereum stay competitive and and remain the front runner there? >> Uh, well, every industry is competitive. So, I think you should we should expect it to be competitive. Crypto first of all is not competing with each other as much as they're competing with Tradfi, right? And traditional systems. So in some ways like Ethereum and Salana and Avalanche, they and even Canton, they're all really working towards the same goal. And ultimately they're going to represent, you know, the new financial system. But if you look at developer depth, it's it's not even close, right? their Ethereum is probably close to 20 times the size of the next largest L1 and then if you look at staking diversity which is really network security uh it's incredibly diversified um there isn't concentration but again if you look at the other L1's you know one entity might be 70% of the security so you know is 70% of single entity being a sec part of the security budget is that really a decentralized chain or is it centralized so I think it's there isn't any other chain that's actually as competitive as Ethereum at the moment. >> What's your model for what institutional allocation to crypto should look like in a balanced portfolio next quarter? >> Um, many financial institutions are already giving uh explicit adv you know advisory recommended allocations and it's anywhere from 2 to 10%. If I look at the Fund strat universe of institutions maybe 5% or even 2%. Meaning the the vast majority of institutional investors have no crypto allocation and it was the best performing asset in the third quarter by a country mile. I mean Ethereum's up 65%. The S&P is like flat. Um I think you're going to see a huge rotation in the fourth quarter. I think the next 12 to 18 months uh all of the DATs not just the you know Bitmine are going to really ramp up their purchases of crypto. So I think the cryptos that have debts are going to be the best performing because these debts essentially buy the crypto and take out supply. The Ethereum debts own a total of 7% of the supply right now. That's more than Bitcoin debts or the Salana debts. And I could probably see that getting to 15% in this bull cycle. >> And we can look at the data, what's currently happening in the market, and confirm that Ethereum's supply dynamics continue to get tighter. Only 13.6% of Ethereum remains on centralized exchanges. ETH staking continues to climb. ETH in DeFi continues to climb. So more ETH is being deployed across the ecosystem while less ETH sits on these exchanges. We can see huge financial institutions like JP Morgan Chase doubling down on not just crypto but choosing the Ethereum blockchain. In fact, the largest banks around the world continue to choose both Bitcoin and Ethereum as they continue to build and offer crypto services. Smash the like button if you're getting value today. Let's talk about what comes next for Bitcoin and crypto in October, November, and December as we end the year. Bitcoin is bouncing off of its 50-day moving average. Historically, this has indicated that a bull market has started. Just like back in mid2020, Bitcoin is about to break out of its midcycle correction. You remember the midcycle correction back in 2020 after Bitcoin rallied off of what was ultimately the low of that cycle. We had a little bit of a correction, a consolidation. That is what's happening now as we are in fact even in the same number of weeks from the high to the low. The same position of the 20 to 50week bullish cross. And thinking back to earlier this year, remember what happened last time when the market coiled up like this. Bitcoin broke above this trend line. It went vertical quickly. And we know about 41 days ago, Bitcoin formed its golden cross. And it's interesting. Bitcoin is now greatly underperforming the historical median. And if Bitcoin is to revert back to the mean, that's a 5 to 20% increase from here. According to crypto research at Bitwise, if history is any guide, expect the Bitcoin rally to start within the next few weeks. You can see Bitcoin is here today. This is Bitcoin price by having cycle. And at this time in prior cycles, this is when the bull market started to pick up. Take a look at this. Bitcoin's weekly RSI downtrend is about to break up and break out. And the last two times this happened, Bitcoin pumped 150%. Fidelity, head of Global Macro, says Bitcoin may be entering a new bull market, sharing this chart. There are so many reasons to be bullish on quality crypto, my friends. Everybody in the world and their mothers are bullish on AI, but crypto is largely slept on. Subscribe to Altcoin Daily. Join the team. We put out one video every day keeping you informed.
