After multiple years of bare market, it's finally time. It's the bull market where altcoins continue to go up and they will go higher, but it won't last forever. And that's why you need to stay rational. And that's why this is the update that I'm going to provide on my full strategy when it comes to the altcoin portfolio. Let's get started. [music] The altcoin markets are moving upwards and they give you tremendous returns. In some period of time, we will be seeing all those crazy stories about people making a 50x 100x. We have actually been seeing that already given that we've seen onchain uh returns with pawns and ston and useless and a marcoin and a few of the other ones. We have also been seeing normal layer one protocols doing well. For instance, near has been breaking from $120 all the way towards five bucks. In between, it has seen already towards three and a half dollars, corrected to 1.60, and then it ran towards north of $5. Also, we've seen arbitram doing great as it's up 300% from the lows. That's fantastic. And when that happens, there are multiple problems that arise that you need to take into account when you're holding a certain portfolio. And that means that you need to be required to remain cautious when it comes to trading them. And that's why I wanted to make this video today to show you some crucial tips to show you some important factors to look at and also to be showing you how I'm going to be assessing the crypto market and my personal portfolio going forward. First, let's look at an example, a Bitcoin pair and a USD pair and the relevance of understanding what's actually happening in the markets. Sometimes I'm using the Bitcoin pair to analyze if it is actually outperforming Bitcoin or not because the USD pair can be quite blurry and you much rather want to be looking at the Bitcoin pair instead of the USD pair. First of all, this is chain link versus the dollar. It has been doing tremendous in the previous cycle. I would refer to the previous cycle as the one in 2021. And you can see that it has made a clear peak against the dollar in the summer of 2021. But now if we start to look at the Bitcoin pair, this one peaked a year earlier in the summer of 2020 during the DeFi summer. And if you were consistently holding chain link for the period after that, then the actual peak it made against the dollar was a draw down of 50% against Bitcoin, which theoretically means that Bitcoin was outperforming chain link over the year after that. Actually, since then, it has been outperforming chain link massively. And I'm not saying that if you are fundamentally for chain link or whatever asset that is there, you could still be holding the actual asset, but it's depending on your own personal target. In my case, I would like to accumulate more Bitcoin because I think that Bitcoin is the only asset that you uh should be holding. It's a scar assets. It's real money. But even having that fundamental belief doesn't mean that within my portfolio I should be allocated at all times. So that means that I need to be scaling out of altcoins and maybe touching them um not touching them for years. Maybe I should be scaling out of Bitcoin at some point to stay in cash to be able to be making more Bitcoin because I expect the markets to go down. That is how you should be approaching the markets. And that's why there are a few important factors to consider when you're looking at those examples. When it comes to chain link, Bitcoin will outperform your altcoins at certain times. Especially when you see those vertical moves taking place on the markets. That's when Bitcoin outperforms. That's when the altcoins against Bitcoin are underperforming. And that's why you'll be required to be holding more Bitcoin. The more that the altcoins are actually shaping momentum because people will take the profits from altcoins and move it into Bitcoin. So at some point you'll be in my case too I'll be buying more Bitcoin instead of just having altcoins. The second topic is narratives come and go. So in 2020 we had DeFi summer. Right now we have a relatively strong t thesis surrounding Zcash surrounding lighter surrounding Venice surrounding near and surrounding hyperlid. But those narratives peak in a short period of time and then it moves towards the next narrative. So one of those examples is essentially Zcash which has seen a tremendous run at the end of 2025. It has seen a correction from 600 bucks all the way towards $200. Another run earlier in the year back to $600. Then we had the Ccash cloth kind of thing. And then it started to break out from $400 at the end of August to nearly $1,700 in September, which means a 250% run, which is great, but the narrative became so strong that it cannot be marginally stronger than that. So there is going to be a period where demand uh buying demands and selling demands are flipping over and that's when you start to consolidate and that's why we've seen a little correction taking place and during that correction people have been taking profits moving it towards the next narrative and that's when the other altcoins start to become more interesting from a risk perspective because another important factor is that the higher you go with assets the more risk it implies. If you go back towards the example, um, Zcash could easily correct all the way down towards $800 to $600 and still be bullish. And we have seen that in early 2026. We have seen it in the middle of 2026. So why shouldn't it be happening right now? That's why the higher the assets will go, the more risk is involved by holding them. meaning that if there is more risk involved by holding them on the other side of the bar, you need to hold more cash to balance out your risk. That's the only way you can actually navigate these markets in a proper way. So when things start to move up, you should not be allocating into it instead of or you are actually expecting it to continue to last, which is at the start of those runs. That's when you can start to scale up. But the higher it goes, the more you need to scale out of it. And in hindsight, of course, the lowest risk is um actually involved when the markets or the actual asset is at its bottom. So give you let me give you a pretty nice example. We have been covering chain link. If you're holding something for a year or two and you want to make a 20 30 40 50x, you need to endure multiple corrections between 70 to 90%. It's going to happen. It's not a surprise. So, if you want to do that, for sure, go ahead. But I'm not sure how long this bull cycle will last. Meaning that I need to be building more cash into my portfolio in order to remain flexible when I'm wrong, and I will. And then I'm going to be having the ability to be buying the assets the deeper that they go. For instance, let's use the example of of near. It's currently at $5.15, but if it corrects all the way towards $260, I have the ability to actually be buying back into it with the lowest potential risk possible. If I'm going to be buying near here, the risk is that it's going to correct by 50% and still be bullish. So, that's how you should be navigating it. The deeper that you go into the bull market, the less you need to be allocated into altcoins, the more you need to be allocated into risk-free assets. And finally, before I'm going to be diving into my portfolio, we you need to be remaining allocated into the actual hot runners of the market because those continue to do well. That's right now, hyperlquid, CCash or any of those other assets like NE. Currently, I'm less allocated into NE, but I'm going to be allocating more into it the more that the markets will have a correction. I would expect to see that somewhere later this year or Q1 next year where all the cryptos are going to have a correction between 50 to 70%. That's what I want to allocate into the ones that have shown strength because as an example in previous cycle Solana has proven to do be doing absolutely fantastic when it comes to its performance and it continued to do well and there were not many assets that have been outperforming Solana. So if you're looking to be trading the assets by the ones that are actually hot runners and that's what I'm currently doing with my altcoin portfolio. Before we continue with this episode, this show is sponsored by OKX. OKX is my go-to exchange because I find safety the most important thing while trading crypto. OKX is having proof of reserves. They are mikar licensed and they have a new feature which is called OKX shield which gives you up to 100K in added protection. It can even be half a million if you are a VIP status within OKX. Secondly, I can do everything I need within crypto within one platform. I can hold spot assets. I can trade futures and I connect with the decentralized exchanges through the OKX wallet. That's why I'm using OKX for multiple years as my go-to exchange. Make sure to sign up now with the link in the description beneath and go to OKX. I've been holding my altcoin portfolio for a long period of time as I've been buying it in actually I think it was 2024. We have been holding it to 2025. We have been losing a lot of value. And then I said, well, if someone asks me now what to do with the altco portfolio, I would advise to actually DCA into it, which we have been doing there. We have been adjusting the strategy and I'm not standing behind the case of simply holding altcoins going further. It's still new tech. There is a lot of competition taking place. narratives come and go, which means that I want to be trading those assets instead of simply holding it. And I think that that makes sense, which then brings me to the case that the more that I make by trading the altcoins, the larger the portfolio will be. We've hit a low of like 35K. It was I think we've actually been hitting a low of 75K at the 1st of August of this year after allocating all those funds into the portfolio. Additionally, currently we are swimming around 180 bucks uh 180,000 not 180 bucks which means that if we have another run the portfolio could go to 400 500 600k in the coming few months that is great but then if that portfolio becomes that large which probably is also reliable to what you're going to experience you need to start building uh the barble again. So if your total portfolio is let's say a million at that point and 600k is into crypto or into altcoins, you need to start de-risking that to continue to be playing the game and you need to start building more into gold into maybe some stocks into bonds perhaps into Bitcoin. So that's one of the things that I'm going to be doing going forward. If this site is going to move up in terms of valuation, then I'm going to swap over towards Bitcoin and gold and to the risk-free asset into my actual investment portfolio. Of course, we're going to be sharing that, but that's one of the key things within this portfolio, the altcoin portfolio. You will need to be building more cash the higher it goes. And first, what I want to show you is the current portfolio and the trades that I've made. So the current portfolio is at around 175K. I mean we have been shooting this beforehand. Um this is the final video that we are making here in this studio. Um so right now I'm in Bali um enjoying my uh little holiday. So the portfolio could have been swimming around for a little bit but it's around 175 to 180K. And I have been selling my near position two months ago. It was one of the largest positions that I had. Right now, it's one of the smallest positions that I have essentially given the fact that we've had such a big run or near that it might be going higher, but I see a higher upside into older assets. As you can see, we've also been trimming down our grass position. We have actually been buying almost all of the grass at 33 cents average and we have been trimming out from 58 to 80 cents. You can see that most of it has been sold at 80 cents. Um that is more than a 2x. My initial target was 60 to 65. I want to close the position and rotate it back into other assets. So I've been selling my near at like $4 uh $3.5 to $5. And I've been using that capital to be investing into grass which then yield me a higher return instead of simply holding near. And by doing so, I've also started to increase my cash position. We are going to talk about the positions that I'm currently having in my portfolio as the largest positions, but right now it's around 20%. The reason for that is that Bitcoin might have a correction all the way towards 70 to 75K. That is a certain chance of happening, which means that I need to be aware of that potential case and the percentages of that potentially being happening, which means that I need to hold more cash. Secondly, as I said earlier in this video, the higher the assets go, the more likely it will be that it will correct at some point. So, the risk increases, which then means that I need to be building way more cash in order to be positioned correctly. And as you can see, my current position in Igon layer is 33K, which is 20%, I've got 23K in Bit Tensor. I've got 16K into Plume. and I've got a position of 20k into warall which are my four biggest positions at this point. If we look at IGEN layer, it's quite clear that it continues to consolidate which then means that I don't need to be selling anything at this point. But the moment is going to happen once it starts to break above this range higher 31 cents and it continues to run all the way towards 73 cents. From 4550 cents on, my allocation is going to be too big. So I'll be trimming off the higher that it gets. I'm going to be using that capital to essentially just buy more cash and just to hold it in cash for two reasons. One, if Bitcoin is going to do a correction at some point, I'm having the flexibility to be buying more. And you might question why are you holding more cash and not simply Bitcoin? Well, again, the marble I'm holding 70 or 80% into altcoins at that point. And on the other side, I need to have cash to balance the risk. And this side is going to outperform Bitcoin massively. So I don't need to hold a portfolio of Bitcoin at this point. I'm going to do well with the altcoins anyways. So the higher that I can lay it goes 45 cents 50 cents 60 cents the more I'll be taking profits and the higher at at some point probably 70 to 75 cents I'm just going to sell the position and I'm going to be patiently waiting for it again because at that point in time I've made 50k on that actual size order position my entire portfolio is most likely going to be four to 500k which means I went from 75k to 500k pay in a few months time which is great return time to reposition reflect be patient as I said there were two ways the second way is that if I have more cash and they're going to be leverage liquidity squeezes downwards I want to be using those opportunities for quick multi-day trades or a swing trade over week or perhaps just buying new allocations into the portfolio and the same can be said for any of the other assets tensor is still accumulating, hasn't breaken hasn't been breaking out yet. But once it does, when it hits 500 bucks, when it hits 550, 600, 650, I'm going to be trimming my position, which then means that I'm also going to be too early. And I don't care by being too early. I care about the risk of my portfolio. And the more that I have that under control, the higher my return will be and the lower the variance of my portfolio will be. And the same can be said on Plume. It's about to be breaking up massively. Target is 5.9. If that happens, great. But I won't be into it for an extended period of time. So, that's how I look at the entire portfolio. And that's going to be the strategy that I'm going to be looking at. I'm going to be continuing to be holding my altcoins. I'm going to be trimming it off in the next run. I'm going to hold more cash. And when there is going to be a marketwide correction, I'm going to be allocating more into Bitcoin as my investment portfolio, continuing to be playing into altcoins when I see obvious opportunities. And in the meantime, I'll just use some cash for some multi-day trades or a sing uh trade for a week. That's how I'm going to be playing it. And that's how I think I'm able to actually make a great return with my portfolio. And if you want to follow me on that, make sure to go to X.
