SPX & NDX Sell-Off a Buy Opportunity? Why Steven Orr is Bullish

10% this week alone. I want to go deeper on today's tech tech sell off in our techt this spotlight. Steven our CEO and founder of Quasar Marke is joining me now. And of course, Steven, youerstand it's a tough day for folks to see. I mean, a name like SanDisk is down 20% on the S 500. But this could according to many end you a golden opportunity here fact, you say you're using today as a day to buy with both hands. Tell us why. Well thanks for having me on today. It's obviously a rough daa lot of people, but today is the day that you are prepared for. If yo preparing for those kind of days, I always have to say, hey, get that grocery list ready. And the day is that day. Today, I pickedualcomm. The day I picked up Nvidia today. I picked up some big names in those chip sets. You talk aboutt on micron. Well here it is. This is your oppor to take that profit off. And you're seeing it exacerbated by all the puting. You see the VIX up. So that's where it's at. y you step in and go you know what. I love this. When you're seeing people run for the exit. You got to think back to Warren t. When the tide rolls out who's swimming naked. Well there's a lot of people swimming. So here we go. And guess what? This gives you the opportunity to buy back in. And I love this. This is a day when you have to be hold your nose and go, you know what? understand it's a rough day, but guess what? This is giving me unbelievable buying opportunities on great companies. A Invidia Qualcomm. I mean, you you heard it the other day from Elon Musk talking abaceX. He picked Qualcomm to be part of the 5Gfo. You know, here's the question. And I don't mean to pinpointyouo you about this because I think you're a pro. You've been diversified, you've had great picks. We've watched your picks gain and lose as you anticipated they would. And so let me ask you, a few weeks ago when SpaceX was around 140 and you said, I'm buyingpaceX goodbye because it went from 140. few days later, it was at 165. And I said to myself, oh, Steven,had that, you know, he jus a nice move. But now, okay,d for you. I like that, but it's at 126 today, you know, did you hold on. Do you double down? What do you do when SpaceX is at 126 today now. Yeah very simple. I appreciate that question N because I did sell half of my I mean, that's hardest thing for a lot of traders to do is to understand when to profit. But guess what I did? I bought more space today because nothing's going to change. Yeah. I get the whole Elon Musk and th the baby out with the bathwate the Democrats won. And hey, you know what? It'sonlg unti January. There's a lot of time between here and now. Andyn Twitter feeds. He said, look, maybe I put them in the moon. Maybe I put them on Mars. So what, he's still go have those positions. Look, look at Amazon is going to take advantage o this. Data cen We everybody is complaining about data centers are doingt on social media. They're doing it through their own phones. Those things are still going be needed. Look at Apple. It hasn't really taken much of a hit today. So going back to normal, Inderstand that going back to some of these positions. But when you look at space, going bache IPO level, that is a buying opportunity. It's not a selling oppty. As I always say. Nicole, what is the path of least resistance? Is it more to the downside? I don't think so. And if I'm wrong, I'm w But I don't think so. I think I'm going to continue to buy back to that 140 level again. I'mlready down a little bit here on this last position. But I like this. I like bdips. I like buying in a position where sometimes, okay, maybe these outsized positions of puts, buying maybe the naked put buying tod is exacerbated. If you don't think so, go look at the VIX. It's very simp see. Yesterday the Dow jumped 1500. Today it's down 17 1800 300 pointifference not big deal. So I'm okay with this. What do you think happens. Look and I know you said you bought Qualcomm. You've been you still like Nvidia. I think SpaceX was down to 120 today. Well below the.35 IPO price. I understand what you're saying. Look you can even that out. What do youoresee for these AI names. I walked around thefle traders. You know what they use. They said these data centers and AI trade, ioo big to fail. It may slow down, but it's still happening. They are not believers. That regulatory environment will stop the AI trade. And so in your camp what say you about where is the Nasdaq, which is right now down s October 6th? Where are we in week, two weeks, ten weeks. I think we're higher than we are today. I mean, look, if I ldt m now, would you buy if I told you that the market's down 20% another month, would you sell? Of course you. But you've got otunity here that you haven't seen since July. And be that, you've got to go all the way back to the middle of 2025. So for m this is a great opportunity regulation. Even if the Democrats start regulation in AI, which we I've said all along, we need regulation in AI, but it's not even going to happen until year. They don't even takeex power until January. And the president still has a veto pen. He's told you very simpl that AI is even calling it superintelligenc says it's on his forefront of his agenda. He's not changing his agenda. Bu said something very interesting when he knew he got beat. He said, I can work with the Democrats. You'll be surprised how much I can with the Democrats. And he's going to work with them on this. And you know what? I agree with this. He is goi do these he is understood. And thel like people spoke. They spoke very highly, they spoke very ly, and they put the pen he papeo the voting booth. But that also means that we're not sto with the AI build. Elon Musk is saying, younow what? Okay, soone that. Talarico one, I get all of that here in Texas. But that data center isn't changing because the Nasdaq is there, the NYSE is there. They moved there for a very reason. about the oil energyrade? What do you do there? Nothing has changed there e I mean, obviously I've said all along that I think $100 oil is extremely expensive a think oil's going to pull back and it's been a good trade. But these data centers energy and oil and gas. That's going to be still high. Now. I still believe there's a pullback in the 50s and the 60s on oil and gas. But we need to see a few more things. I see clarity on Iran. Iran has not changed yet. The back and forth is absolutely crazy right now. Russia hasn't changed. I meanssn is still exacerbated. Still, when those things have more clarity. I'll tell you then.t ro stay elevated. That's good for the margins on these oil companies. Yeah. You said you slept well last night because you were diversified. You're going to sleep well tonight.
